It looks like Tig has made a small Tetris Battle clone!

Currently guest-only but hopefully they bring profiles soon so all my victories can be recorded hehe:


It's very simple. A/D to move left and right, S for soft drop, W for hard drop, space to rotate, and B for hold.

This game is made in JavaScript/HTML5 so it does not require Flash Player!! This can only mean good things for the future of A801, finally moving on from the past?

Note: this game's controls are a bit buggy and unfortunately majorly flawed in that the block's final placement is dependent on the "shadow" being cast below - and Tig forgot to have the shadow move up with the lines when the lines below are sent. When this happens, you can't hard drop onto the blocks below immediately and that screws with my timing :(
