I made a mistake years ago by editing half of my old comments to "deleted" or something gibberish. I feel like a burden for asking sentinels to edit some back. I would like to restore all, but I just cannot ask sentinels for that, because it is a lot of work and there could be more important matter than me. I assume.
It would be good if we could restore our comments ourselves.
But people would exploit this. So we could only restore comments which were not edited by sentinels for rule breaking. We should see the history of our comments and restore them to a previous state. Only comments which were edited by us, not sentinels. So if we broke a rule, and a sentinel edited it (removing inappropriate material for example) then we would not be able to restore it.
We could restore our comments on locked threads too, which were asked by us to be locked.
