What's the point in applying if only staff / ex-staff are joining? x) Also, what's the point of a ridiculously mod-like application? This role does not have big powers to be somewhere so hard to even hope to join. Dernière modification le 1542454860000 |

Bolodefchoco a dit : As far as I remember current Staffers can receive funcorp just asking, anyway it should be a different path from normal apps. As for former staffers I can't see any former staffer that applied so far. :/ |

Bolodefchoco a dit : Because funcorp was staff only before the announcement of players able to join as well...? |

Bolodefchoco a dit : The answer is in your question. :) You can apply to join the FunCorp so there wont be only staff / ex-staff members. This is not a mod-like application, this is a Funcorp application and this is needed so we can learn a bit more about applicants. Just as a fact, we're not as severe as for mod's applications. We're taking our time to chose wisely our future FC qties, be patient. =) |

about how long after an application is sent should we assume that it has been seen/rejected? is there any estimate on that? |

Philae a dit : Honestly, if you compare fashion squad or module team application with the funcorp one you'll notice a huge difference. Funcorp one was made by a staff user probably, one that didn't get the essence of "not staff position". Why do you need to know user alts? Why do we need to talk about our bans and mutes? I understand it's important, but taking into consideration how all the other non staff positions work and vote, this funcorp form is totally mod-like, which is disappointing in my opinion. I truly believe only few people will get the role, while others, that have the wish to help, are going to be rejected for personal reasons rather than capacity. Obviously that's only my opinion |

Hello FunCorp enthusiasts! <3 (I am one among them hehe) I just wondered when people will be chosen as funcorp members, is it a special date will it be held on a regular basis? And where to do I see which ones that has been chosen as FunCorp mods? Have a good time and I hope to be a Funcorp member in the future! :) |

Bolodefchoco a dit : We check these things because the FC role can be very easily abused. Abuse was the reason that it got changed to staff only in the first place, and the admins made it very clear when we reopened applications that we must screen applicants to check for maturity and make sure they won’t abuse their position. This application is very similar to the original FC application (we just revised what was done in the past) and we feel that all of the questions are necessary to make sure the applicant won’t act immaturely or abuse their position. As we have a very large amount of staff members handling applications, it’s highly unlikely that an applicant will be denied by one member’s personal opinion of the applicant. |

Bolodefchoco a dit : As far as I remember, both Fashion Squad and Module team do not have "powers" in game. A Funcorp can distrupt a room is they wants with their commands. Or start trolling in a negative way. That is probably why the "mod like" apps. About alts I don't honestly see where the problem lies, I would rather use my alt for "staff use" instead of my main for staff uses, as no one in game beside mods and staff may know about my alt account and that will grant me some freedom while I play with my main. Even not asking that kinda things in the apps, for a mod it's a 2 seconds task checking alts. It's more something that relates to being honest rather than asking stuff just for the sake of it. Retrouvaille a dit : Just to make something clear: Module Team members can run scripts in # rooms, and they have access to use some special functions like adding images...etc, so they have powers in game. Good luck again! |

I understand your point, I pointed the same, besides the honesty thing. That can be, indeed, something that allows them to check the honesty of the application. But I still think those questions are a bit mod-like. About powers, both roles have something special that are still something they can abuse. For example, as a module team member I could simply go to full rooms like #batata1 and run a crash script. I would get fired at some time, but that could happen for hours. The application doesn't make explicit anything mod-like, because the staff inside the team can check it by theirselves. The same happens for the Fashion Squad. They probably have a button that they can spam? I don't know. Funcorp is veeeeeeeeeery similar to Module Team (in powers), and I have never seen anyone abusing these powers. All I have seen is people stucking up because they have an orangey nickname, that's the point that I honestly think that should be removed for the role. Not staff, no need color. Once you do /funcorp you could get it for the players that see you in the room, but not all the time. It's easy to be brain washed. Of course, that's just my opinion and my bad if I didn't understand completly your points. |

Absolutely, there's nothing to apologise to. :) I don't honestly have a from the inside knowledge of what Module or FS members can or cannot do and what are their powers so I'm assuming most things and I can fail in my reasoning no problem. ;) |

Bolodefchoco a dit : I think it’s easier to disrupt a room as a FC abuser because you could do all sorts of damage by making the room lag, crashing other mice’s games, and pretty much just annoying the heck out of people. I don’t know much about the module team, but I don’t think it’s that easy to cause chaos in a module room. You’re in a coded room with special rules and special functions. What ya gonna do? Make the seeker able to see in prop hunt? Don’t let the potato go off in batata? Sorry if my points about the module team are wrong. As I said, I don’t know much about them. |

Well, in a module room any member could crash, annoy, lag, etc. Doesn't mean they do!? Funcorp is basically the same. They can't run lua in official rooms, so that's just fine. The biggest difference between the roles is that funcorp can change someone's color!?!? I don't think it requires more attention or highlight than any other non-staff position I'd say a WAAAAY more important question there is "Can you code Lua?". Because members that can't CAN abuse indirectly with pink-like messages in the chat (I have seen a bunch of funcorps doing that), 40 ticks timers (they can destroy someone's 3G internet?!? It sends a lot of packets per second), and much more lol Dernière modification le 1542557340000 |
