I think the lack of character limits is the most insane, I've seen people pasting the entire of Fifty Shades of Gray.
Also, I don't think I can actually link the official video announcing the update thanks to all the ascii dick art but it's called Meet the new YouTube comments by Youtube help. I think those dislikes show the communities' opinion.

I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems replaying videos w/o refreshing the page. It's been kind've frustrating to me, especially when I listen to music on repeat constantly..

personally, i really dont like the comment system at all. you can't even see the top comments right anymore. atleast for me, its confusing as fuck
the character limit is bullshit too, i seen people spam, and post real long ascii art like the pedo bear one
then i also saw people spamming shit about the comment system itself
google+ should really stop fucking with youtube. nearly after every update, it gets worse and worse.

In general I like the new youtube comment section. I can work around with it really well, lets you reply and all that easily without any problems.

The only flaws with it are that there is no limit, you can post as much as you want, you can even post link easily now, even videos of other people in the comment section and worst of all you can use Html coding if you know your ways.

So as for that, right now its possible to spam, selfish-advertise, spam advertise etc. But I think once those things are taken care of, it will be really good.

There are far more flaws then that. You can disable replies on your comment, which defeats the purpose of even commenting imo. Not only that, you can limit who sees your comment and make it so it's only your friends. That just turns YT into Facebook and I feel Google+ is trying to become that.

Also, what's all this crap about needing a Google+ account to comment? Even the co-founder himself said, after 8 years of silence, "why the fuck do I need a google+ account to comment?". It also shows who has and hasn't liked your comment which, to me, feels like a slash away from anomity. The top comments and recents are all fucked up as well - a guy with 61 likes the next day vanished from top comments existance no matter how much I searched.

Aha, I realised this and used that when some trolls attempted it. But that in itself makes the option of disabling replies pointless.

And personally I miss the old youtube - as in around '07. These updates just keep getting more and more obnioxious, and they're unnecessary.

Thus issue resolved, tagging is better anyways because you can reply to multiple at the same time if you so desire or involve others to make it a discussion.

Currently the youtube comment section changed from, here some messages. To a more community driven experiences, some aren't happy with it because of all the unlimited options that are still applying. But if you look past those because they will be obviously fixed, the system is quite handy.

I especially like that I can read messages without changing my page so i can do that while im watching a video. Which makes it more convenient for me.
