Joeballbags a dit : this is unfair, and it's too much,, you can just use the chat filter if you're so fed up by people who use vulgar language frequently?? |

eternalcool a dit : I use it but it's lame, a lot of words get passed the filter. I suggest to the TFM Team letting the players have their own filter and they choose words they want filtered. |

I think people will always find another way to curse and going through the filter, it's only effective for some words, that's not preventing language violence at all o/ |

it's true that many, many people playing this game and others are under the "age limit" however, there is absolutely nothing atelier801 or even technology can do about it except for discourage them from joining said game. |

I feel that a good balance would be updating the curse filter? That way the young ones can stay clear of inappropriate language without restricting the older audience. |

In my opinion, all ages should be able to play Transformice. HOWEVER, I do feel that as adults, we should make the kids feel invited, and not treat them like shit. |

Superglo a dit : honestly as a 10 year old myself, tfm would get way less money 50% of the people paying for fraises are 10- plus nowadays kids have gmails just like I do, welcome to the internet. this world is made up of 80% of younger people, why cant we have fun too instead of being treated like crap Dernière modification le 1447021380000 |

nivanadiva a dit : it's not that adults have to treat children like 'crap' everytime, it just depends on the person i bet you're new to the word sarcasm Dernière modification le 1446277980000 |

Did 12- suddenly got smarter? Havean't seen a single swear in a week ! Tbh the issue is not being under the age limit ,the problem is having a young majority influenced by a teenagers, obviously a 10 years old will NEVER swear unless he saw someone do it . In TFM, and other atelier801 games, that's what happening, and this is why an age limit even exists. Though 18+ doesn't have much of a problem, keeping your age to your self fixes the problem ( in most cases ) |

I really don't think people knowing my age is a problem. |

This game is recommended 13+ due to potentially adult/offensive/otherwise objectionable content. This means that if you are younger than the recommended age or are incapable of handling some of the things that go on in chat and the game, nobody but yourself is liable as it was your decision to play the game despite warnings and the like. You can easily tab into tribe chat, whispers or something else to ignore the public chat if you think it is inappropriate or otherwise. The real problem is educating the players and even their parents on the matter, as plenty of them don't know a whole lot about the internet and internet safety. I cannot really give an ideal solution to this. That's all I can really say on the matter. Dernière modification le 1446304200000 |

i think there should be a COPPA system, like chicken smoothie. and by how many COPPA players ive seen on chicken smoothie, i think it could work. kids lying about their age shouldn't be a problem, because kids that have only played kid friendly games like animal jam or club penguin probably won't know to lie. (but it'll still be guaranteed to happen) things that you could do to separate the COPPA players from the regular players are cut off the in-game chat completely or to some extent, restrict the forums, restrict the tribes, and restrict the whisper option. smartiewolfs a dit : i'm 12, and ive known that word and it's meaning since i was 6. this is somewhat offensive and untrue for some people, so i'd discourage you from saying that, whether it's a joke or not. |

[...] Well, you could have started the forum in a different way like this. "Transformice needs to turn safe" Well now it's your idea, I'll move to your plan. Foul Language is seriously bad, it needs some development. I value your idea a lot, I will show you on both sides, the disadvantages and the advantages. Transformice became a MMOG [Massively multiplayer online game] having more than 10,000 users online at the same time per day. If suddenly a change of age restriction occurs it's our difficulties. Transformice is open to all ages. So, think quite different, for 4 or 5 long years they have just made the game better. See, a command called /ignore is there to stop it. Moderators and Admins are around. We can vote ban or report to Moderators as insults. As long as we see on both sides, long to be better. Foul language is our problem means, we are suppose to stop it. Not always an organization can do everything "Be the change you want to see" Maybe we can stop it, if we try. People lie about their age. I'm really appreciating your concern towards the children who play Transformice! Dernière modification le 1446979920000 |

snowytailcat a dit : The thing is with COPPA is that it's extremely annoying. You aren't able to speak, and hardly can do anything in-game. Transformice is a game about interacting with others. Where's the fun in the game if someone like me just joined, tried to ask for help as a shaman, then found out you weren't able to speak due to the COPPA law? How would COPPAs know anything about the ordinary players when they reached the age of 13? My point is, TFM is a game where you are supposed to be interacting. And there's no way to restrict foul language for children without TFM losing about half their players. If you restrict foul language, the older players (or at least the ones who swear) won't be pleased. If you block off the chat for children, they won't be pleased either. |
