This game is actually managing to scare me, and parts of MatPat's theory seem solid.

...Scott, I don't know if I love you or hate you right now. On one hand, this looks very good, but on the other, does your fanbase deserve such greatness?
Think of what this game could of been, if it were the original FNAF. Maybe a lot would be different. Maaaybeee...

Frick, why even call it FNAF? Freddy is mostly forgotten by the fandom and Scott himself, over"shadowed" by, well, shadow Freddy(EHEHEHE) and Golden Freddy (I don't like calling him Fredbear...it's a weird name and I'm too adjusted to Golden Freddy).

Can't say I have a better name for the franchise, though. What about you guys?

Scott, you are the only human being who can hate their fans and be justified for it. I'm not saying their all bad, like how Undertale isn't all bad (but the fandom of THAT game is now 60-40 bad to good ratio because the Sans fangirls are multiplying, and Sr Pelo), but a concerningly large part of the fandom has no respect for anybody and are downright too young. You could of gotten a Fran Bow fandom, they know how to behave, but you got stuck with brats who are going to make a majority of the world hate YOUR game although you have not done anything wrong, and probably put a ton of effort into it, but because of these kids, just like every other game you've made, your hard work is going to become the butt of every meme, your serious creation will be absolutely destroyed. By both your fans and those who hate your fans, and you don't deserve that. I honestly do not think you should reward them with more content.
Or are you trying to scare them off by giving it your all and making something that will scare off little timmy-lost-a-lobe and his classmates? Who knows.

In other news: The grand opening of Circus Baby’s Pizza World has apparently been cancelled due to reported gas leaks in the building. Sources close to the establishment question the reports, saying that strange activity around the area at night suggest something else is to blame.
One local is quoted as saying, “Everything just stopped. There was so much excitement built around this place opening and then they just stopped talking about it. There was only a handful of people that ever got a look at the inside. Kids from here and there, making sure everything worked right, you know. I guess they weren’t quite as ready as they thought they were!”
A tenant from across the street claims to have witnessed a large group of cars surrounding the building during the night and large pieces of equipment being taken out of the building under tarps. A few weeks later the building was for sale.
There is no comment yet from the local entrepreneur who financed the venture.

I know I'm not the only one who almost fell off their bed/chair while watching gameplay. Which is saying something because while I am very jumpy, (like...i'll jump at a jumpscare but but won't actually feel the fear. It's not like an "OH GOD", it's more so an "Whoa, mkay then" feel) horror games or scary things in games don't scare me too much. I can take Fran Bow, the waterwraith, the lavender town theme, all the other fnaf games, but this? NOPE.
