I was watching somebody play through a corrupted ut, and one of the lines they got was "THE SHADOWS CUTTING DEEPER", which is from entry 17. Entry 17 is in wingdings. How did it get translated?
Also they had the chara jumpscare as one of their sprites

because it's set to wingdings FONT, it's not a language. the game simply changed the font to its normal one.

Just throwing it out there that a fandom shouldn't stop you from playing a game you think is interesting. You can play the game without being a part of it's fandom.

Don't let the actions of others stop you from doing something you want to do (in this case, playing a game you'd like to play).

It shouldn't set you off either.
I love Undertale, and I still love it despite other people in the fandom. It doesn't change my view of the game at all.

Don't worry about what others in the fandom do; worry about yourself. You may/may not be missing out if you decide to step away because of the fanbase.
