reviving this quality thread because this forum can't get any more deserted than it already is and because i still enjoy learning about mbti to this day.

just a reminder to anyone that is just as interested: always take your result with a grain of salt and only use it as a starting point to discover more about yourself, even if you're sure that the type you got resonates with you. many online tests are widely known to be inaccurate/oversimplified, 16personalities being no different. it's also not uncommon to get a variation of results, which can greatly depend on your mood at the time of taking them. i'd usually feel iffy about trusting the accuracy of my own results because our core understanding of who we are is not an easy nut to crack.

i've matured alot since i've last taken the test and after much needed study of the cognitive functions i have now concluded that i'm an INFJ, I answered with full sincerity and got INTJ instead just because i am "less open" with my emotions than i used to be even when the "F" dictates 75% of my thought process. lol

https://i.imgur.com/fsTF0gF.png

on the flip side, i recommend this test instead because it focuses more on cognition rather than behavior, something that is ironically overlooked by 16p. here are my results.

I got Ti Fi Ne Se

Hi there! I can't make much from your result due to the lack of context, but I can infer that Ti, or introverted thinking, seems to be one of your strongest functions (if not the most). INTPs are lead by Ti as their dominant function, while it is secondary to the ENTP who has dominant Ne instead. However, since both types possess Fe and Si, they can't have Fi and Se in their function stack.

Just to give you an overview of what them weird letters mean:
They are simply abbreviations of the cognitive functions, or the thought processes you use to understand (i) and interact with the world (e). The function stack is an axis that consists of the four dichotomies (Sensing/iNtuition, Feeling/Thinking), with the lowercase (i) and (e) at the end indicating whether a dichotomy is expressed inwardly or outwardly, so by this logic you could say that Fe, for instance, stands for extraverted Feeling, meaning that it's focused on the feelings or values (F) of the people around them (e). The position of the functions in your axis depends on how much you rely on them, starting from the most preferred/effortless aka dominant function (Ti/Ne) to the least preferred/troublesome, the inferior function (Fe/Si). For INTPs, deducing what makes sense to them in a logical manner (Ti) is something they tend to do more than noticing, making or sharing abstract connections with others and working out possibilities according to what they know about their surroundings (Ne) since it is the default for them, and vice-versa for ENTPs. You can read more about the cognitive functions here.

When differentiating between I/E, just keep in mind that an introvert (at their best) is much more inclined to use their introverted functions and feel rewarded for it when they accomplish their intended goals with it, and needless to say they get drained by social interaction far easier than extroverts because it can go against their introverted nature. Feel free to ask me if you've got any more questions, and I hope my explanation has somewhat helped.

I know the functions, but it basically said Ne was very high, Ti was kind of high, Se was moderate and Fi was moderate.

found a neat website where you can see famous characters’ and peoples’ MBTI personalities. click!!
—————
for some reason i never replied to this topic??? even though i remember doing so. well, originally i was an INFP-T however over 4 years i have switched to INTP-T!!

88% introverted
73% intuitive
53% thinking
82% prospecting
61% turbulent

WEIRD...... but it’s barely a shift, especially looking at the small percent difference between thinking and feeling. whatever!! i’m a logician now B).

how cute.. the "shift" that you're talking about shouldn't automatically mean that you've switched personalities (see my first post on this page) and i doubt an INTP would base their judgement on percentages alone. i'm curious to see why you think you favor T more than F.

Advocate
Personality

INFJ-A / INFJ-T
(WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?)
Introduction
“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they are capable of being.”

JOHANN WOLFGANG VON GOETHE
The Advocate personality type is very rare, making up less than one percent of the population, but they nonetheless leave their mark on the world. Advocates have an inborn sense of idealism and morality, but what sets them apart is that they are not idle dreamers. These individuals are capable of taking concrete steps to realize their goals and make a lasting positive impact.

People with this personality type tend to see helping others as their purpose in life. Advocates can often be found engaging in rescue efforts and doing charity work. However, their real passion is to get to the heart of the issue so that people need not be rescued at all.

Advocate personality
Help Me Help You

Advocates indeed share a unique combination of traits. Though soft-spoken, they have very strong opinions and will fight tirelessly for an idea they believe in. They are decisive and strong-willed, but will rarely use that energy for personal gain.

Advocates will act with creativity, imagination, conviction, and sensitivity not to create an advantage, but to create balance. Egalitarianism and karma are very attractive ideas to Advocate personalities. These types tend to believe that nothing would help the world so much as using love and compassion to soften the hearts of tyrants.

Nothing lights up Advocates like creating a solution that changes people’s lives.
Advocates find it easy to make connections with others. They have a talent for warm, sensitive language, speaking in human terms, rather than with pure logic and fact.

It makes sense that their friends and colleagues will come to think of them as quiet Extraverted personality types. However, they would all do well to remember that Advocates need time alone to decompress and recharge, and not to become too alarmed when they suddenly withdraw. Advocates take great care of others’ feelings, and they expect the favor to be returned – sometimes that means giving them the space they need for a few days.

Live to Fight Another Day

Really, though, it is most important for people with the Advocate personality type to remember to take care of themselves. The passion of their convictions is perfectly capable of carrying them past their breaking point. If their zeal gets out of hand, they can find themselves exhausted, unhealthy, and stressed.

This becomes especially apparent when Advocates find themselves up against conflict and criticism. Their sensitivity forces these personalities to do everything they can to evade these seemingly personal attacks. When the circumstances are unavoidable, however, they can fight back in highly irrational, unhelpful ways.

To Advocates, the world is a place full of inequity – but it doesn’t have to be. No other personality type is better suited to create a movement to right a wrong, no matter how big or small. Advocates just need to remember that while they’re busy taking care of the world, they need to take care of themselves, too.

I did it a few times in the past and got the advocator. Took the test a few months ago and got the mediator. Pretty much the same result because the last letter is always about 50%.
