I literally spent 15 dollars to change my name and have it be unique nd now theyre giving every1 and their mothers a name change + the ability to have literally any username, sounds fair doesn't it lol

I agree, that would be a nice idea. There would be so many more possibilities for names: creative use of characters, emoticons, references... Maybe they should add that instead, I'm sure there would be much less backslash. Less arguments and polarizing debates. Exponential increase of the amount of possible usernames...

Since I've started playing this game, I've noticed that a huge percentual of players are pretty toxic (at least on my community). It wouldn't be a surprise if I saw ppl impersonating me or my friends (and not only them, everyone that has a cool nickname or some recognition in the game/forum, like artists, developers, etc), and that's what worries me. :/

Btw, I like the idea of having an option to allow the player rather or not to have their nickname used by someone else~

I and my tribe are against, some are good, but I'm not. unless they put names EQUAL, and if they get hacked? how would it be? put names of profanity, swear words, etc.

I agree. It would be a lot easier to remember someone's username vs. number pattern.

Probably not, unless you happen to know multiple people with the same basic name (which could happen with common words such as "Wolf"). In the case of impersonators I doubt you'd keep in contact with said impersonators long-term. Just block them if they're that problematic and hope that they're not determined enough to make tons of new accounts to continue messing with you. As for your existing friends, it probably says something about what kind of friend they are if they use their one free username change to impersonate you or someone else. I do wonder wonder whether the mods will start punishing people for deliberate impersonation, though.

Furthermore, as some people have pointed out, this isn't really fair to the people who paid 15000 fraises to change their name. If they can't be given a money refund, then they should receive some other benefit such as 15000 fraises credited to their account or five free name changes or whatever.

edit #2: I just remembered that if this feature is released, you will be required to register with an email and you can't use the same email for multiple accounts. This should cut down on the number of newbies wanting to deliberately impersonate you because that would mean going through the trouble of creating a new email. I doubt you will have to worry about a flood of people with your name coming on, and if someone were to make that many accounts/emails just to bother with you then maybe the mods should get involved.
