You can easily turn off the filter and With the filter the only ones blocked are the least directly offensive/common.

And yeah, most of these games are aimed at younger kids. I played a few of them when I was around 9, but very quickly lost interest in them. A couple I stuck with for a bit longer.
Anyway, I struggle to find some decent online games. Kongregate has some decent games, but still.
And what do you mean by safe? Filters, paid memberships? Games that were created to appeal to younger audiences and then have their parents pay for a membership so the game can have some form of meaning?

No, but they were primarliy directed at younger audiences. Like Haruhi said, 10-12 is still pretty young.
Also, a side note, but tween sounds really.. weird. Reminds me of the tweenies.
And isn't a tween something in animation? Like a motion tween?

No. It's a term marketing compnaies came up with for the 10-12 crowd, as they feel they're not "children" but not proper "teenagers."

And it's something used in one of the flash animation things I'm pretty sure, used it at school..

All these "safe games" seem to have an incredibly similar concept.
