My most favorite poems are these three.. The first two are by Robert Frost The third one is by me (Hey that rhymes!) The road not taken by Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow road And I'm sorry I could not take both And be one traveller, long as I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth Then took the other, just as fair And having perhaps the better claim , Because it was grassy and wanted wear Though as for that the passing there Had really worn them about the same And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step has trodden black Oh I kept telling first for another day Yet knowing how way leads on to way I doubted whether I should come back I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less travelled by And that has made all the difference Nothing gold can stay by Robert Frost Nature's first green is gold Her hardest hue to hold Her early leafs a flower But only so an hour Then leaf subsides to leaf So Eden sank to grief So dawn goes down to day Nothing gold can stay A Canadian poem by Me To row row your canoe And portage through the streams You best be paddling for your life now Because you stole a Canadians Timmies |

Shel Silverstein (AKA my childhood) Jake says: "Yes, I'm adopted. My folks were not blessed With me in the usual way. But they picked me, They chose me From all the rest, Which is lots more than most kids can say." The fourth: "Oh CRASH! my BASH! it’s BANG the ZANG! Fourth WHOOSH! of BAROOM! July WHEW!" Did not get the title of this, but it's from "Falling Up": "Tell my I'm clever, Tell me I'm kind, Tell me I'm talented, Tell me I'm cute, Tell me I'm sensitive, Graceful and Wise Tell me I'm perfect-- But tell me the TRUTH." |
