Pro players have a bad attitude

Actually, there tends to be more and more people furthering their stats and becoming more rude than previous years. I have many friends that were nice when their stats sucked, and became very greedy and rude once they reach a certain amount of firsts (usually about 10,000 firsts.)

Most of the rude people are the new players. Sorry to say, but us tfm oldies are family. We grew up as little mice together so obviously we aren't going to put each other down.

Most of the "skilled/pro" players aren't rude to new players, but alot of them won't even talk to other players. I say GJ to top ranked mice (aka Loige, Barrydarsow, Harshy, and others) NOT because I'm a fangirl like the rest of tfm. It's because I'm generally nice to EVERYONE and maybe I wanna be friends with them. Is that too hard to ask? Yeah, Harshy is a mod but that doesn't mean he needs to ignore everyone like the fangirls.

Harshy hasn't said a single word in the three years I've seen them play, save for !; so your point with them is kind of moot. Some people just don't talk.

Funny thing is, I've seen him talk before. I've seen all of them talk. And then when i go and try to talk to them (just being friendly) they can't even say Hi back or nothing. If anything, that's what I find rude.

If you guys think pros are rude then you're probably wrong. For me, if a pro player is being rude and flaming at others, then he/she is not a pro. Pros are the kind of people who play to get better, not to win, and they learn from their mistakes - not flaming and blaming their teammates or souls for being "noob". Sometimes they also help out other newer players. That's my definition of a pro.

I'm not saying all pros are rude. Some literally are; both very good at the game and rude as all get out. *ahem* Croinks for example.

Lol. I try not to be rude. If I come across that way, it's pry because I'm actually telling someone straight up that I don't like what they are doing/saying.

There are sadly some "pros" that act rude, but luckily not all of them. However a lot of the pros are very hard to get in contact with, and therefore might be seen as rude. Especially people from some top 20 tribes seems to have the image of being better than other, and therefore might come across as rude. I'm sure they are lovely when you know them, but for new players(and someone that just logs on en every now and then) seems kind of rude and unfriendly.

It was not bullying (want me to google the definition for you?) and the fact you always argue with me (and you're the one with the bad attitude actually) just gives me the explanation why I ended up here. Whatever makes you happy, I guess.

Btw, I am not pro so idk how it applies here.

Ahh yes, I have seen some bad attitude from pro's.

You know, some of them aren't even pro's, they just target one person that they have a bit more firsts than them.
But in 2010, even the very few real pro's there was, they actually helped the new players and taught them how to play properly.
Those sweet, distant times. o.e;

Of course, some of them are willing to that.
But it's mainly the 'new' pro's (the one's who've been playing for what, a year or so?) that cause the trouble.

Most the pros I see don't talk much. Normally I see newer players being more offensive- but if you think about it, that's just because newer players outnumber pros.

There's a totally different issue underlying this. 99% of the random messages the people who are in popular tribes get are about people wanting to join the tribe (usually in a very spammy manner). It's certainly no image of being better than others, it's just that it really isn't worth of it to respond to 100 messages just to not seem rude towards the one person that actually has something meaningful to say. That, and, as far as us old-timers go, we're always afk.

That's also the thing with saying "thank you" to every gj a competitive player gets. It's just tiresome (your last message is the same spam yay) and it feels especially silly when you yourself feel that you didn't do a good job at all, despite getting a first or a decent time in bootcamp. Then again saying "naw, that was awful, I can do much better" will seem just arrogant. It's just easier to not say anything.

Preach it this is beauty, In fact pros are very nice.As secretive has stated its usually the newer players mocking even newer players.kudos for this speech.
