All for the sake of money. ur money Old events: -New and interesting features every event -A lot of new content, new items for map editor -Everything is free! New events: -LUA maps, with backgrounds, which you can't use -No any new content (titles? r u srs?) -You need waste your cheese to buy items from previous events -Absolutely bored gameplay Typical Tigbluelyne: WHAT'S WRONG?! WHY DON'T U ENJOY IT??? |

elmikle a dit : That they require because they are losing money. elmikle a dit : Not their fault that you might have Imgur blocked, or there's a bug. elmikle a dit : And the free items were costing them money. Do you want events or do you want the game to die? |

Not surprising if stuff from LUA events are not used in map editor. Since the artworks are not made by Atelier801 itself and they are made specifically for the event, i doubt they want to use it. Art style is also different, it can affect some players here and there. |

I'm pretty sure the removal of free items was because A801 needed money, which is understood. Personally, I'd like them to be earned, but I imagine fraises isn't giving them hundred of millions of euros, ads don't either, and I do like that membership isn't a thing on TFM. So, it's understood, and you just gotta suck it up I guess. After all, I'd rather have TFM up and buy event items than TFM offline and earn them (paradox much). |

Thefourthone a dit : Honestly if we just put 2010 Halloween back into the game, about 3 days later everyone is gonna complain how boring it was. If you put back any event back, people are going to complain how grindy it was and you have to wait for the map/ making suicide rooms If we put back 2012 Christmas, everyone is gonna go mad Whether it is newer or older, honestly they aren't much difference in terms of how fun it is. It looked fun because of nostalgia |

Was Christmas 2012 the Calendar? Because I really enjoyed that event only having to log on once a day. The grinding of old events was actually worth something back then though, at least a little more than a badge on your profile that not very many people at all are going to look at nor care about. The only valuable badge I see so far is Transformice's 4 year birthday badge and I'm not sure but that may still be possible to get(?) With the way the events are now I'd much rather the event maps just be a vanity thing with nothing to earn from them, having the titles bundled with the items and the badge be the big riddle they release nearly every event. With all that said I'd rather them focus on more items, map content and possibly a bit of permanent game-play because the events now at least in my opinion aren't very pleasing to play. |

shadowwinter a dit : *edit:* I think it was either 2011 or 2012 where everyone was the shaman and then it was fking stupid Yes events are meant to be celebrated but the thing is now we look at events as something we look forward to because we get to earn more stuff The fact that now event maps images are not made with flash but a jpeg file instead, the number of map editor items decreased. Assuming that 'permanent game-play' means a repetitive event concept: No. No just no.... elmikle a dit : Honestly if they didnt put halloween 2012 in the last 2 years, im telling you people are going to be like "urgh i miss 2012 halloween it was so gooddd" Now see, when they put it everyone goes mad. thats the point im making. Nostalgia just makes everything looks pleasing. Dernière modification le 1416324660000 |

techtriostep a dit : It was still pretty interesting to see at first, though all it did was cause people to try and crash the room. techtriostep a dit : Because that's generally all there was to look forward too, being able to get all the items before others and then flaunting around like the majestic mouse you were for a few hours. When's the last time we've gotten more than 3 items that weren't furs and wasn't because an event rolled around? Mice still celebrated the old events but for different reasons, items were just the sweet spot to get all your friends on to have a good time with them but now you're lucky if that even happens because no one wants badges. techtriostep a dit : Decreased but doesn't stop them from adding anything, they still could at least make an attempt at something. techtriostep a dit : .. Transformice would probably be a little less repetitive if they focused on adding something new to the game small or big like that new skill tree or fixing bugs. Permanent game-play doesn't necessarily mean event related, look at Defilante and Vampire Survivor -- both of which spawned from events. |

shadowwinter a dit : True. But not everyone wants shop items either. I know Badges are a bad idea because it IS a collectable but you do nothing. But having shop items all the time isn't my and some other's thing either. Like you said shop items are just a sweet spot, doesn't mean it needs to be that all the time. Shadowwinter a dit : Judging from their trello i think small stuff like these isnt a good timing to do Shadowwinter a dit : But we are in an event related topic here. In terms of the general, yes they are implanting TOO much new stuff that and pending. By having too much on their hands I really cannot see how they can give us some more original concepts anymore. To be honest I loved 2011 and 2012's Christmas events not only because they had a lot of rewards, but because the concepts of them were really amazing and enjoyable (especially 2011's where there were mistletoes and presents in every map). But surely, the current events aren't completely bad though, the art used in this year's Halloween and Valentine events was wonderfully drawn, regardless of the concepts of these events. Now on the topic of giving free items, I personally think it's important not to give free items anymore, since Atelier801 is currently low on funds and I would rather pay money for a game that I don't want to die. |

I don't think selling event items will be enough to make up for their lack of funds, especially after Nekodancer.. As it is even with the system in place they can barely even pay their employees let alone themselves and I really don't feel like this is a hole they can get themselves out of. Unless they throw out a new, interesting system that interests players that's a money sink I don't see very many players buying Fraises. |

maybe if the admins fixed the purchasing fraises bug, income wouldn't be as much of a problem as some make it out to be |
