words of wisdom with Linux do not install it if you have a nvidia graphics card/chipset. Nvidia doesn't bother to support Linux or any of its distros.

I also remember learning that Mac OS X was based on Drawin OS which is Free BSD Based. It was always a neat fact I had known for a while.
