Charlie Hebdo is a comic company obviously in France. It's essentially their job to make comics making fun of things, people and unfortunately the cause of the terror act, religions. They made a comic in which I believe they drew Mohammad the Prophet (Spelling may be off, I know too many Mohammed/Muhummad/Mohummads to remember how to spell the Prophet's name) and in Islam it is forbidden to draw Mohammed the Prophet. Some people who are said to be Muslim were unhappy with this and decided to attack some place as a distraction then attack the Charlie Hebdo headquarters if I'm not wrong. This attack led to many killed and many injured, and of course since they were supposedly Muslim they made Islam look even worse than it already did due to previous terror attacks caused by people claiming to be Muslim. Whether or not all these people are Muslim or not, I do not know.

The result of this was that Muslims have a very bad image and the world unites on this cause to prevent and protest other terror attacks.

There is probably some information that is wrong and some information that is left out, but I think the gist is correct.

I think the Muslims are right, even I'm not a Muslim. I mean, they made fun of their religion and called it bad stuff. Would you guys like it if someone made fun of your religions and showed the whole world?
This company should make fun of actual FUN things, not religion which is a serious thing.
I think the people that got killed deserved it, because they got their punish.
Seriously now, the world gone crazy. This stupid company had nothing else to write except a thing that would obviously anger the Islam?! The company asked for it.

BTW: In the Romanian class, our teacher told us to do a writing about this subject. Since I spend my day watching cartoons, I had no idea about it until I read here. I almost got a bad grade because I wasn't "connected to the actual world" as my dumb teacher says. I don't really care about the news. The french ppl got killed? Their problem!

Do you really think murder is an appropriate punishment for anything? I get that they sent out some offensive comics, but what is killing people going to do?

I know that this is a terrible deal, but those people most certainly DID NOT deserve to be killed so brutally, not even at all. Yes, people are offended by the company's pictures, but no, no-one should have been killed.

I'm terribly sorry for everyone who lost their lives.
