That is kind of mean, that was a bad and untrained dog, most of the dogs are sweet and caring, you schould hate the humans, not the dogs.
My cat was killed by a dog too, and i freaking hate the stupid humans who own it. Dogs are wonderfull and sweet, and if you refuse to see that because of an incident, then maybe you are a little hypocritic.

Some dogs are very aggressive and might need to put down its not there fault.

And as Boefie said, some owners treat there dogs to fight or be aggressive.

I had 2 cats that both died, one by colon cancer and one by oral cancer.

My relatives dog Shockey passed on today.
But all I know is that he had hip problems. Getting up was a struggle for the poor thing. ):

My cat tiger got a thorn in his eye some how and now he has visions with his left eye now. :T

My grandmother's cat was abused when he was about 10 weeks old, and my mom kept him until we moved somewhere, so the cat was given to my grandmother. He recently passed away on Tuesday because of some sort of sickness. He was 14 anyways.

I guess i overreact, but its probably because I have a cat who has already been hurt and abused in the past :( When we took her home she had a bad fear of poles, like strange, maybe she was beat with a pole? WHY WOULD ANYONE DO SUCH A THING TO ANY ANIMAL?

My dog barks at everyone that walks by, because she is really protective, but she would never atack one, only if she was being attacked.
She is just scared, and barks.. So if a dog barks, they don't want to attack right away. If a dog indeed does that, then that dogs needs to be finished. Just like every other animal that is being hostile.

I know how you feel, my dog was abused and dumped infront of an animal shelter in Portugal. She is really shy and barks at everything and anything. She distrusts men alot, and she is scared of the car, carton boxes and nets. Yet she is the sweetest thing ever, if she trusts you, she will do anything to protect and love you.

This sounds strange but my rabbit is always eager to run into the shed and we accidentally locked him in it and my cat was acting strange by looking in the gap between the fridge and the worktop so we looked in the shed and found him.

You guys say that a dog who barks only wants to protect itself, eh?! Well, here's the story of the worst day of my life...
Last year, when I was 11, me and mom were walking somewhere and we walked past a car. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a big, white dog comes from under it, barks and grabs my leg. I started screaming and crying, so mom grabbed a stick and rocks and um, let's just say the dog ended up with bloody wounds and bruises. Luckily it was winter and I was wearing really thick trousers so he only ripped my trousers, not touching my leg.
Since then, I'm scared as hell of dogs, even the smallest ones.
Me and mom didnt threaten the dog in any way, and I wasn't scared of him until he bit me. And still, he attempted to attack me. Like that, for no reason at ALL.
I know not all dogs are the same, but I doubt I will ever be able to overcome this damn fear.

I put my cat outside as punishment or if it gets too hot I open the door so she doesn't overheat because she lives in the conservatory

Some cats are outside cats, and maybe it's both their fault. My cat was in the neighbours yard, (our houses are conected) when a dog suddenly ran out of the park infront of my house, and bit her. She was 18 years old, and had a back issue. So she was not able to run away.

Dogs like that should not be killed. Their owners should be held responsible for any damages it causes and should be legally required to have it restrained and securely confined to the property of its owner. The owner of such a dog should be held responsible of criminal negligence if the dog induces any severe bodily harm or fatalities. That's the way it works here in Texas, anyway, and it has my full approval. An owner who owns a vicious dog and cannot secure it properly should have their dog seized from them.
A cat should only be an outdoor cat if its restrained to the property of its owner via either a leash, screened in "catio," or at minimum, supervised while outdoors and restrained from wandering off. Anyone who lets their cats roam outside unrestrained and unattended endanger the cat, violate the property rights of their owners, and are responsible for the mass amount of wildlife slaughtered by their pets.
