Well, it's all very subjective to be honest. I don't think you should restrict someone because of their age (and I'm not saying that you think the should be). They should be restricted based on their ability to understand those sorts of things or to deal with them being discussed. It isn't a matter of "You're X years old, you cannot/should not read this kind of thing." You're not obligated to decide what is right for them. That is why I mentioned trial periods earlier (something nobody has really picked up on). It helps to gauge this sort of thing.
