Of course it is going to be abused with set challenges like cage maps but the fact that it is there and people will do anything to abuse anything.
This goes for anything that gets released into public domain.
I bet many people are hit in the feels either because they actually knew that risk and consciously avoided it or they were just the opposite who are now groveling from the loss of an abuse.
The Wind Master Tree is all about mobility for the Shaman.
The Mechanician Tree offers new options for building.
The Spiritual Guide reinforces building techniques.
I personally favor the Spiritual Guide because I do not need new options or mobility when simply I can resort to old tactics redone.
Also, the balloons and anvils are also over powered, put two and two together and you can complete maps with huge gaps with no ledge to build from.
Those maps tend to be Anti-B which means clouds are useless to stablize the build because they rest on a Global Anchor like the B.
Then again, you never see maps like these except in Shaman where even being in a cage can make everything the Shaman do look overpowered without even using any shaman skills (The Current Ones).
I also find Spiritual Guide to be a challenge considering the totem I use, while immobile, can still be capable of building over great distances and around obstacles way out of reach- are you just going to call it overpowered and Nerf it simply because I took time off to learn the techniques?
Regarding the wings though, I do find fault with the wrongly named skill which is probably the source of outburst since it could lead mice to believing it is used for flying.
That and the fact that the description is vague because largely we think of flying itself when applying to terms like "Wings".

Flying wasn't overpowered, in a way, spirits are more useful for flying to the shaman. I don't see how the shaman being able to reach new heights using wings is more powerful? Especially compared to the rocket.
Many people find it fun so why take it away? People compare it to hack flying but that's very different - mice can use it to get cheese very quickly and it defeats the purpose of bootcamps and skill-demanding maps.

Wings or no wings, the shaman still needs to be able to build fairly well to get the mice across.

In regards to your last point, it all depends on the favor of the Shaman to choose mobility or new options or advancing what they already know or perhaps they can test a new liking of their owns by displacing points in select fields of which they find the most useful and practical.
Too bad a lot of people just immediately jumped onto the Wind Master Bandwagon hoping to get a good kick on the ride.

I agree, I've actually never had a chance to use flying - I stuck to the spiritual tree. I found it more useful with the bigger cheese and additional builds.
Honestly, if people have fun using the wings, I find it unfair the admins would remove that. Those mice still need to be good builders if they want saves, it's not an automatic all-mice-in-the-hole skill.

Well how did we manage before the skills? We build the mice to hole anyways!
These Shaman Skills are like Moses Stick in a way, everyone is just going to complain to it being overpowered and then suddenly take it away and everybody is whining about the loss of power.
I think, in my opinion, the back lash is largely done of the fault of a misleading skill name, clearly if the intentions of Wings were just for gliding then surely you would rationalize it and point out that why did they even call it Wings?
Also, shamming is really undervalued in the regular and Vanilla rooms when I dared to step out, you would think that life would find a way to adapt?
I did wish Room Shaman or Shamming in general was better known and accepted in the midst of Racers and Bootcampers.
These people have a chance to start but do they even bother taking chances?

Well, imo, mice should be able to earn exp points only by saving mice as shaman, 'cause, after all, we're talking about 'shaman' levels (not sure if this has been discussed somewhere else, but anywayz). But sure, why not.

And now they have removed the ability to 'fly up' using wings, claiming it is 'overpowered'... I don't really think it is 'overpowered', and, therefore, should be limited. Using the term and picture of 'wings' seems rather misleading indeed. If we weren't gonna be able to spread our wings and ~actually~ fly from the start (really making it a bug), that should have been stated since the beginning or, possibly, they should have used something else instead of 'em wings, like a parachute or an umbrella (Mary Poppins-style, yes :P).

The purpose of the game is for us to have fun, and we ~were~ having a good time with the wings the way they were. But idk, if the game-makers still think we should not be able to ~fly~ around with the wings even after all that has been said in this thread, then oh well... c:

with all due respect this actualisacion administrators did not like that with wings and can not fly and clouds now are limited and maybe several more things to add that to fly with wings that fly that thing with wings was the I liked more and now I can not fly I would like to take into account my expectations this comment is just a suggestion.
