I can understand why parents have issues with having a homosexual son/daughter, but in the end what matters is wether or not you're happy with your choice.

:) I am happy, I found a nice significant other, I asked them "What if I was gay" and my parents said, "I think it's wrong but it how I was brought up." this puts me in a horrible spot.

How so? The fact that they said "but that's how I was brought up" means they're open to have their minds changed.

They hint that they don't like it. I dunno, I just got this feeling they aren't going to like it.

They'll have to eventually if it's your choice.
