I'm not a fan of this system but if it's going to be implemented inevitably, can we have a way to make our own custom tags for people? Like if someone changed their name to Cat#0186 we can add our own custom tag that would show up next to their name, so it would look something like Cat#0186[old room friend] or something. That way, it's just easier telling people apart (I'd still prefer if the new nickname system wasn't added at all though) Dernière modification le 1520386380000 |

I'm completely against this idea. What I think you're doing: You people: Hmm... Let's fix this nickname problem! Me: By making a more problems! Good job! *pats on back* It's totally not like you're making MORE problems by doing this. You definitely made the right decision in doing this :) It's not like you could just let people use more characters to make their nickname! Their are other solutions to this. I think that you are just wasting your time that you can use to improve the game and not very many people like this decision. Some support it and others don't. I dislike this idea respectfully. ♥ (Please don't add it to the game) |

There is just a series of bad ideas coming one after another. The return of collector's items, the testing of loot crates on the French server, and now this? This is disappointing. I think it's also very bothersome that this just happened without receiving feedback from players before the staff decided to implement it. They assumed that they studied "all the possibilities," yet there are numerous of complaints already. Dernière modification le 1520389320000 |

Again, for me, another mixbag of I love it and I hate it; it's nice to be able to use the username that you actually want without worries of other people already taking that name. But here's the problem: Logging in with serial number? I absolutely despise the idea of having numbers in username in the first place for simplicity reason, and it's even worse when you don't have a chance to pick your own number so that you could remember it. Let me tell you, a lot of people will quickly forget their username the moment they log out of the game. While there's another option to log in using email, not a lot of people are gonna find it to be easily accessible, since it takes a bit to actually type in your email all over again. This means the login and registery system becomes unecessarily convoluted. Along with for one other reasons; The game purposefully censor the email address from other people to actually see it. If we required to put in the email address into the login, that kinda defeat its own purpose, don'tcha think? if your account is hacked, not only you lose access to tfm, you also lose all your email and all its affiliated accounts (Or even serious business inquiries), which means BAM! That's it, your life is done for. My idea to fix this? I think it would be much more flexible to seperate player username and login username. While the login username can never be the same from one another, at least it still gives flexibility for having same in-game player username, regardless if it's taken or not. it also gives potential for multiple player characters in a single account to make things more practical without having to make entirely new account; saving up a lot of spaces for login username account. But then... we have another issue.... IMPERSONATOR. Now that everyone have a chance to actually have the same name, and same looks, they also have a chance to ruin the real one's reputation by being an evil doppleganger of those poor fellows. This will especially work since knowing how people usually do, no one gonna give any effort to check the number id to confirm if it's the real them or nah. Heck, false rumor can greatly ruin reputation of someone, let alone true rumor about someone who is the evil twin of the real one. They both can get mix up and then disaster happens. If something is there, they're gonna find a way to abuse it. Let's face it; it's not something that can be solved, every game that requires account have this issue. And to be honest it's not an issue either; it's simply made to avoid mistaking somebody for somebody else. Even without this implemented, the whole mistaking thing is still a thing, let alone people with same username. Imagine a tribe full of people with your username My idea to fix this? Verification system Maybe to be able to verify an account, the person must link it to steam account or discord server, or maybe twitter account. Having multiple accounts linked to TFM that gives much more confirmations of its true identity should hold up to the authenticity of a player. Or perhaps certain milestones must be acquired for someone to actually be registered as verified account. A lot of websites such as Youtube, Twitter, and even Discord itself (which the TFM devs follow) apply this to avoid confusion between real and fake accounts. Of course it doesn't 100% avoid any kind of confusion, but it helps reducing it. In the end, for me, it's one of those ideas and features that only looks good on paper, just like the collector items. They try to follow other ideas that works, which is good, but they only follow partially; they don't speculate as of what's the base of that idea and why it works, and whether or not it will work on different system. Kinda like drawing, You can draw as cool as you can, the best design character or pose all you want, but in order to do that, you need to learn how it works; the base of the shape, the support, the anatomy, the muscle, and why it works like that; otherwise It will never turn out good, because it's not gonna makes sense. At least I still appreciate them for trying to solve this issue, which means they still care for the game and listen to the community once in a while. Kudos for that one. I feel like what we really need right now is the beta test feature for people to actually try out the new updates to see if they will like it or not before rolling the updates into the game. That way, the flaws of an idea can be spotted and fixed/improved before the disappointment happens. And just like that, the community will be somewhat pleased for it. Again, these are all simply my ideas; It might not be perfect, but it can become better if mixed with other ideas as well. Conclusion: Dernière modification le 1520395800000 |

I found this on cafe and I highly agree. "Icecard +58 You need to consider both sides. Yes, with Dead Maze bringing new members to the community brings up how we are going to deal with coming up with new usernames. Reasons for disliking and stopping the update. 1. People who had to spend $20 USD in the past to change their name to something else or for an unique name now has to suffer with people getting to change it to whatever they want for free. 2. Old 2010 players wouldn't be as honorable as they would be now for obtaining 2010 accounts either by buying them (once again with real money), or given. 3. The competive hearted fans of Transformice would slowly die out within their customs of playing only because they have such an unique name in which time they obtained. 4. People can troll very heavy on people in many new ways like changing or creating an account in their name and logging off when they send very mean things. 5. Cafe reputation and die hearted members with such names as well as unique names that gave them the reputation might see a decrease not only with them playing the game as a whole, but the sales they play the game with. 6. People who want to vanish by changing their name will no longer be able too with the new coding system. They will not know if there is a #0000 with the name as to add another reason. 7. Hackers are now more powerful being able to connect and fry or steal all of your accounts at once with the new email connect login feature. 8. People who spent their money ($20 USD) will no longer be able to obtain their money back unless a revoke or reloan is given. 9. Old players will see a decrease to conern themselves with this game who played for their unique username or known for it. 10. The username old players have been with their entire life will mean less than it means today." |

Have you considered clearing the database of old accounts? Deleting accounts that hadn't played in x amount of years, let's say 6, would surely free at least ~50% of usernames. |

I'm sorry but this seems like a terrible idea? I get that it's hard to find a username with so many already taken, but this will basically defeat the purpose of having a unique, "one of a kind" name |
