Masterflamez a dit :
Is it wrong if I defended a friend by harming the one who bullied my friend in the first place?

Yes

You should always handle disputes with diplomacy, show why the person is wrong through facts that will affect that person's life, get to know the bully that way you can know what's most important to him/her, then when you need to handle the dispute, use relevant details to debate the bully as to why what they're doing is bad, to get the bully to reflect on his/her life, considering you used details that came from their life, which can in turn either depress them to such a point where they will never bully again, or it will lead them to a happier life where they realize their mistake and based upon their own honor they must fix it.

Either way, you defeat the bully without physically harming them. Which if you do, it may very well be you who gets in trouble.

Is it wrong to listen music for the most of the time? Through that I get peace and happiness. But my parents say " stop it". What should I do ?
I'm not a small kid. I know what I'm doing

No it's not wrong, but you should keep the sound low enough where your ears can't be damaged

then you're fine, they shouldn't have an issue as it doesn't effect them. so just tell them no, you can make your own decisions.

Sorry to interrupt.. But by most of the time, how much do you mean?

Two things should be considered while using headphones though, for your well-being's sake
How long you're using them and how loud the volume is... even though you're keeping the volume low but overuse has its side-effects too

One bad thing about headphones are they completely block the natural air which isn't good if its on for a long while.
I myself use them for 30-45mins at a stretch and take a break for 15 mins later. :)

this is not always true
in some situations, the bully won't stop harming you/the person you're defending and then is when you should start fighting. it's not the best maneuver, it's better to tell a teacher and to let them sort it out, but if that doesn't work and non-violent actions don't work, then reverting to violence to help your friend would be a good step. i, however, do not suggest using it every time to get your way. it's only your final resort rather than your first step.

even coming from someone believing in world peace, violence has many bads and goods. it can get you in trouble, yes, but letting you or your friend get harmed to the point they start crying and can't fire back at the bully is not good for both of your guys' health

i believe you did alright if it were the last thing you did, and hopefully they left your friend alone after you did that!

Usually violence has be used... however, I think it should be avoided
(I mean like, do you think you and your enemy would actually sit down and have a 'cup of tea' in real life)

Thanks everyone for the answers! I believe violence was a last resort, since 1). these guys didn't look like the kind of people you could reason with and 2). my friend eventually confessed that they have been bullying her for more than a month and she did get to the point of crying. And it's not like I just went to them and started fighting out of nowhere. I gave them a warning, but they mocked me and provoked me.
Anyways, i doubt the bully will try more shit. He was coughing blood all over the floor.

if you bully the person back its basically the same thing anyway so there really is no point in using violence. doesnt get you anywhere, just worsens the situation youre in
