Ok! 2 tips and a pic.
Tip 1: WIG CAP!
Yes, wig caps can be itchy and tight, but, if you are like me, you shower before you put your cosplay stuff on. Wig caps help prevent mishaping of the wig with wet hair. Plus, it's easyer to keep your hair in the wig.

Tip 2: Costume stores
Costumes bought at costume stores and such are fine, but are usually low quality. Use ones that you find on Ebay or make yourself or piece together from normal clothes. They usually last longer.
