is there any way to avoid fires? 2 puppies died ( inculding the albino puppy ) but i didn't save - thank goodness ;^;

I am 99.99% sure that there are fires. When I was trying to get my 3 remaining pups up a hill, I'm pretty sure one of the trees next to me set on fire. None of my pups died because of it, luckily.
