It's black and white because it's much easier to do the shading without having to consider the color.
I just color it afterwards... as you can see below.

Oh.. uhm, if you look closely, it's a chicken mannequin head. Not a potato.
And the shadow is just a little hint of reflection from the potato since it is a window glass thingy.

It's just me drawing heads.. I think I chose a fox I'm satisfied with, which I will be able to show maybe around tomorrow.
