I believe in afterlife and reincarnation.

You'd either go into the event of one of the two, depending on your soul.
You don't make the choice. Your spirit/soul does.

phanghuang a dit :
I think it is okay to say "hell" but not "what the hell" or something like that because my teacher said "hell" before because she was a christian and people thought she cussed

I sometimes say "what the hell" but I'm not cussing
im christian

I respect what other people may think but to me the idea of 'being alive after dying' doesn't make any sense.

But of course there is live after death, live still goes on and humanity continues to exists after you're dead. I don't believe in solipsism or similar ideas where the only thing that's real is your mind and the world doesn't exist without you.

I consider myself just a very small piece of Life as a whole, which will continue existing for as long as there are life forms, and energy in the universe to sustain life. My consciousness may cease to exist one day, but the particles in my body will continue to be part of the universe and life.

I would ask the same thing, 'how' does it make sense to be 'alive' after 'death'? The idea of death to me is that you're no longer conscious since your brain and body no longer work, you can't be alive if you're not conscious and your body doesn't work.

There is an afterlife in my belief and religion, either you will go to heaver or hell.
But I do kind of believe in reincarnation....

Interesting thought. Got any evidence? (Being annoying here :P)

I don't have any specific evidence.
But I like to believe that I would go somewhere nice after death :P 'Cause you could do anything and I would do unlimited pranking.

There is life after death. I never believed it, but after what I've gone throw, I don't have a shadow of doubt there is. As long as the soul is strong, it can live in this world even without a body. Why did I change my mind? I was one of those, who said that we only live once. It's because of a dream I was in, it's because of the story I've survived to tell. I'm writing my dream in Cfm, if anyone is interested, I wrote some and posted, and still am writing. It's in my profile page.

In any case. Life after death exists. Only few get to live a second time, if there soul is strong enough.

Are you sure? One life and that's it?
We weren't created for nothing

Sorry for the late reply, but its what I believe so I am quite sure. Death is the end of your life, obviously meaning that you no longer have the chance to come back.
Reincarnation have come into my thoughts, but I don't believe in it.

I don't believe that we were created either. Once we were single cells.
None of us came here for nothing, of course, and having a long life to fulfill isn't something you were given for 'nothing.'

I died when I was around ten (obviously the docs brang me back) so I'll share with you all what happened.

I tripped and fell onto a stub sticking out of a log, stub stabbed into my forehead and I was losing blood, on the way to the hospital I died.

Then I woke up in a hospital bed with my skull sealed and stuff.

Not descriptive? Yes, that's the point, there is no afterlife, you simply don't have any senses in death, so you don't have sight, hearing, sense of time, etc.

People are pretty afraid of death, so we theorize what happens after death, but you shouldn't be afraid, because nothing happens.

just clarifying beliefs dont require evidence to be valid, hence belief

doitsudoitsu a dit :

You see a watch on the ground and decide to pick it up. The watch is transparent and you can see all its complex workings. Most likely you would think to yourself that someone had dropped the watch and that it was crafted by someone. You wouldn't assume it magic'd itself out of nothing. Therefore, is it not logical to assume the universe was also created by someone?
I believe it is more likely that a higher being or beings crafted the laws of physics and mathematical principals that are present on Earth and on other planets rather than the planets simply making these and themselves out of chance.

gr8 design theory/analogy but the most this can confirm is of an architect being since a watchmaker doesnt make his parts simply from nothing, its "crafted" out of pre-existing material lol

@mousechris did u believe in an afterlife before ur accident?

@Mousechris That's not very reassuring. @~@;;

I'd like to believe there's something similiar to life after death, but I have no idea how to explain it.

Yeah, I was Christian before it happened, but there was not heaven, no hell, just death, after I woke up, I started realizing my church was preaching for nothing. So I became Atheist.

Is there actual proof you died for a time? Because it sounds like you only passed out/lost consciousness.

Well that is the actual comparison, when you die it's basically the same, loss of sense.
But as for proof, I'm not all that sure, it happened almost half my life ago, I'm not even sure where I'd need to go to get that proof.

I received blood, and there was literally a hole in my head that had to have some glue like stuff in it rather than stitches. So based off the severity of the treatment that I remember, I'm pretty sure it was death.

But if I ever find myself at the hospital for say a shot or anything, I'll be sure to ask for any records they have.

It sounds like you lost consciousness due to blood loss. You didn't die.
I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been able to revive you.

So basically, your idea of death is based on being unconscious.

"Die" doesn't simply mean "lose senses" or "pass out". "Die" means stop living eternally, you can't simply die then live again.
