Users could easily remove their posts without any consequences (if they are found uploading inappropriate material, text, etc to the forum).

Now I can post something and then delete it when people reply so that they look insane
https://i.imgur.com/Fqc0h.gif

I like that idea.

Half Support. This can easily be abused. I can see some players posting inappropriate topics then quickly deleting them before anyone finds out. Sentinels should be able to see deleted posts. On the bright side, some may post a silly/embarrassing post, and come back to it a year later and delete it. No harm there. Or a topic that is against-the-rules, such as RolePlaying, but then the author reads the rules and deletes the post when they realize that nothing is coming out from their topic except another boring old locked topic to clog up the forums.

I see why many are against the idea because people could post inappropriate things and delete them.
However, I think this can easily be solved by moderators/sentinels being able to see deleted posts. That way if someone violated the rules they could be effectively banned by the mods seeing their deleted post.

Please add this!

I'm sorry if this is considered reviving a dead thread or necrobumping. Please delete my post I am!

Many inappropriate posts could go by unobserved and the user would suffer no consequences

I'm not really sure about this. If you said something wrong you can edit your post. If you double post, just say accidental double post. Once again i'm not sure.

Only sentinels should be able to see deleted posts.

Error_404 a dit :
I don't think it's a good idea, Players could abuse this for example posting an inappropriate content then removing it.

Deuken a dit :
I don't like the idea, people can post something that is against the rules and can remove it quickly.
/Nosupport

It's not like people don't already do that -- aside from the fact that usually sentinels are the ones removing it, not themselves.
Plus what's the reason of posting something against the rules then removing it immediately?

/support
Honestly surprised that this hasn't really been implemented yet seeing as the suggestion was made in 2015 and multiple staff have already admitted their support of it already

TR sentinels are not support it and me too. -1
Shamousey a dit :
For the EN sentinel team it's not really a problem having reports asking for posts to be removed, since we have a decently sized team that are around 24/7 to check on things. For other community's sentinel teams I imagine it could potentially be an issue though.

Yes. It will be an issue.

I think this suggestion is fine and I wouldn't mind seeing it added, people can essentially remove their post anyway by editing it to have almost no content, and I see this happening all the time (especially when there are things like accidental double posts). +1 for the idea.

well the thing is
that you have to wait hours to sentinel reply even days
but you can just in 2 seconds delete it by yourself
