I just saw your post and I have something to say.( Please forgive my English, if it cause misunderstanding:))
I'm a Chinese player and I've been playing the game since 2010. I knew this game in a small website and I suddenly stuck by it. I then played it quite often, Though there've been some "quitting" throughout this six-year of playing, I can tell that I still like it in spite of the f**kin' lag and crash:(
I can tell that I can see a bit of concerned through your words and I can feel. Take the Chinese server for example, there were 200+( in players room) players( day time) at a time in Chinese server but now it's usually 50 or so( in players room) players at a time. In normal room, usually the room 2 is even empty, which is really weird.
I see you staff are very ambitious and are willing to improve. For me, I have some really good advice for you, and I hope that you can take them seriously.
1. Pick 1 or 2 events that players like best( like gardening event which is on right now) and put it into a permanent system. You find seeds in random maps and gather something for cultivation. Plant it in your private place and see it grows and then sell it to other players or robots). This event needs to be highly-supportive and easy to run. I guess this will add more interesting elements into this game.
2. Have a new event every month. A week would be a bit time limited. Two months would cause boredom. So 3 weeks or 1 month would be fine.
3. Deal with the crash problem and the lag problem. If you don't take any of my advice, you should take this. I've never played a game that could lag or crash in such a frequent period... After 2 or 3 crashes I believe I will quit this game for half a day. Imagine how terrible it is when you are freely playing with other mice but seconds later all the mice freeze!
4. Remember: It's the details that count. You should think more for players. For example:
1) It's better to make the afk players die after 30 or 40 seconds the round starts because the normal players sometimes have something to do and have afk for a very short period of time. If they go have a cup of tea and come back seeing they've died, what would they feel?
2) Improve the quality of the random maps. We don't want to see the sucky wasted f**kin' stupid maps designed by those headless players round and round again. Their maps really suck. Most of all, they are either much too easy to finish or they are such a f**kin' mess--- not beautiful at all! I believe I'm not the only one who have thought of this. We need maps that have been well designed and well selected by most of the players. To deal with this problem, you can decrease the chance we see this kind of maps.
3) Make the items' price a bit lower. Most items are expensive and they really seem unaffordable for those players who doesn't log in regularly and only play this game for fun like me. We play the game 30~40 mins a day, not 8 hours a day. We are not pros, and we can only get 10~20 cheese a day. We need to play every day and in that case, we have got to play about a year to get a fur which costs 5000 cheese. And that's only one thing. So here I suggest you make bargains frequently. Choose some more items and lower their price. If it costs 5000 cheese, make it 2000. Honestly, even if it's 2000, I wouldn't have enough cheese to afford it. You know, I've played 5 years and till now I gained only 5000+ cheese. But I'm still a lover.
3) Add more fun elements without causing chaos( I mean, not making this game complex and time-wasting)
There've been still a lot to improve. It's been late in China( 11 p.m.) and I want to have a sleep. I hope you could carefully read my advice and take them seriously. And at last, I hope the game could be better and funnier! :)
