I must say, the reactions to Galaco were much more positive here than in other places. Most people were underwhelmed by her, I think it was due to the problems with her flatness. I guess since she was a free competition Vocaloid, it was only to be expected.

What is Vocaloid? Vocal synthesizing software, it costs around £200 (similar in dollars), Avanna is the current cheapest Engloid at £95. It is designed for producers who want to add lyrics to their music, but have no singer or want to increase their repotoir of singers. It can also be used to demonstrate how a song should be sung or to create backing vocals.

How many Vocaloids are there? Over 40, around 45.

What is UTAU? Vocal synthesizing software that you can create your own voicebank with, or use others'. Lower quality, but free!

What relationship do Rin and Len have? They have no canon, so whatever the producer (or you) wishes.

Are Haku and Neru Vocaloids? They have no official voicebanks. They were created as personifications of the fandom, classed as 'Miku derivatives' specifically.

Is Teto a Vocaloid? No, she is an UTAU. People get confused and she is often added into Vocaloid group images because she was released on April Fools day, her creators pretended to market her as a Vocaloid.

How many Vocaloid songs are there? Hundreds of thousands, ranging from complete crappiness to extremely well done. Some genres are more prevalent than others, so for some you may have to dig deeper than the popular weekly ranking.

A lot of people don't like her for some reason, I guess because of the way her words sound together. I heard her voice is an actual girl's, so it's not going to be perfect.
