I find it interesting people are getting so offended by this thread. Despite cancer only being used as a place setter for the scenario. Nobody bar the one above is actually joking about cancer. In fact no one is even discussing cancer at all, it's only been used as a setting.

If you had 2 days to live btw suffering from cancer you would most likely be in hospital.

Either way, to term it differently so as to not offend people, you could just remove it completely and say 'You have 2 days to live'. I think everyone would stop getting upset over it then.
