| Almost finished with all of the tutorial, except the part where I have to verse other players because I'm just going to lose terribly and be blamed for it. Not to mention anti-social. :3 |

| No one is automatically good tho... do it. |

| I'd rather do it when I have friend(s) to play with, which won't be happening anytime soon. o/ |

| With that attitude, you probably gonna loose. Try co-op bot matches to familiarize yourself with the most basic things if you don't feel like going up against other players right from the start. |

| Hmm, I guess I could try that. Hopefully people won't mind what I play because I feel like that might be a problem. |

Kredos a dit : wat OD wrecks all INT heroes in a 1 v 1 situation, and there arent many direct counters to him. Maybe Nyx, Pugna and situationally Anti-Mage. and anyone with decent aoe can 'counter' PL, its all about shutting him down early |

| Lane razor, viper or syllabear against OD. He won't like it. To anyone who is just starting: Play bots for a while if you don't want to just die repeatedly and get flamed for it. There are generally nice people playing co-op bots and they can teach you a thing or two. Or at least there was during the beta, things might've changed a bit now that there's been a huge surge of new players. Either that or you can watch a bunch of guides from youtube and try out just a few botmatches on the side. You're probably going to suck bad and die a lot until you've played a lot of games in any case, the mechanics are just too complex to be memorized overnight. Once you know what the 400+ unique hero skills and all the items do, you're up to a good start. Alongside with the basics, the most important thing you can do is to watch the minimap. Every time you have even a second where you don't need to pay attention to your hero, glance at the map. Every time you have 5 seconds of time, look at the map more carefully. Learning the habit early on will prevent countless of stupid deaths. |

Shadowwinter a dit : Play co-op bots with me. I sometimes have a friend or two that knows what they're doing asking to play when I load it up, too, and they're really nice people! If you see me online, just ask if you wanna play. I just hit random and got Slark, love his character, but I have no idea what I'm doing with him. |

| Tried Troll and Tusk. They are fun, although, I wasn't sure which skill I should put points into when played Tusk. What would be a good skill build for him? I assume max snowball first while putting the other points in icewall? Or vice versa? Also, did they fix Troll Warlord's ranged bash glitch? Spinnando a dit : Invite me too '-' Well, I think Slark is a good roamer, no? His ult's passive gives him good mobility and regen when the enemy can't see you and you can use that to your advantage to de-ward places. Although, I guess this is a bit more advanced stuff? |

Vogul a dit : You should get 1 point in snowball, but it doesn't scale all that well. Max your shards for the damage and the Sigil move and attack speed slow is SO good at level 4. Vogul a dit : Yup, they fixed this relatively recently. Vogul a dit : Slark can be quite difficult to play, but yeah he's a great roaming hero. I love building stuff like Shadow Blade and Orchid on him. And if you know how, like you said, his ult is a great dewarding tool. |

| I played 2 co-op bot matches, the first one didn't go so well and I died alot but the second was okay and I ended up getting a 2 in 1 as my only 2 kills. \o/ Is it bad that I only really play one hero at the moment? Just to kind of get used to it a bit better or should I expand to something else? Kind of started browsing more of the items as well. |

Shadowwinter a dit : Only playing one hero is absolutely fine if you're just starting out. I remember when I first started playing it was just Venomancer 24/7, it lets you learn the basics and gets you competent enough at one hero so you won't be terrible in your first games against other people. Once you think you have a bit better game knowledge, you should start randoming to get a hold on different types of heroes and their strenghts/weaknesses. |

| Oh, alright ! What would be your suggestions though for starters? I've only really been playing as a Windrunner because I like the range and not having to run into the battle early game but still be able to get gold. Also I like using her one skill to run away if need be, just because. |

| Windrunner is good, she's a nice hero for starters but also has a high skill cap so you'll always be improving. A lot of the supports are good, Crystal Maiden, Veno, stuff like that. And easy to use carries would be things like Sven and Dragon Knight. Or just pick someone random and get to know the hero really well and then go own a pub game with them :D |

Trainspotter a dit : Could you explain dewarding to me? :D I kinda have an idea what it means but I'd rather someone tell me for sure. |
| 0 | ||
| Purchase sentry or gem of true sight to reveal enemy wards so you can destroy them. Slark's ulti passive is granted when you aren't visible to enemies. So if you are running around in jungle (or anywhere else) and you suddenly slow down and nobody is there that means that there is either an invisible hero or a ward there. (Correct me if I'm wrong '-') |

| Oh sweet, I knew about counter warding but I've never tried it because I'd worry about getting it wrong and wasting wards lmao |

| There are some common wards spots that are usually the safest place to try and deward, or you can check people's inventories when they are close by near the beginning of the game to see if you can guess where they placed a ward. It can be quite difficult though. I'm bad at supports so I'm rubbish at de/counter warding. :D |
