It may not seem like much, but when people like me decide to go on the forums often, it matters.

Most of the people on the forums rock, but the background makes a somewhat dreary experience.

but what about those people who like use the gray teal color for "transparent" backgrounds in drawings(not everyone knows how to make transparent bg's)? or the people who use the forum color to hide spoilers in text (idk if people do that, and i dont mean this spoiler). then would their post just stick out from your background?? ehh i think you gotta think about it a little. otherwise, YES
