? what's the point of shipping / pairing yourself with a creepypasta that is made to scare and KILL you?

I really wish the creepypasta fandom had some more sense

I personally am part of it, but in a different manner, because I dont go on screaming "OMG TOBY LOVE ME/MY OC" "EMFG THIS SONG REMINDS ME OF JEFFY <3333" "*creepypasta romance roleplay in youtube comment sections*"

I just sit quietly reading them without rambling on about the characters out of the blue (unless the subject is brought up)
But I do squeal when I find a really good one. have you any idea how rare that is
