Bad language

I mean this is a common problem around the internet, the opportunity of alternative reality in a virtual dimension gives people the idea of free will, like what they type will never effect there reality regardless of whoever else it might effect depended on insults, inappropriate content and more, the internet consists of a rather lower grade-type of profanity that will never be cured, it's something you can't change but it's something you can speak your mind about.

No its not.
This thread is for discussing players that use bad language in the game and how it affects the game/other players.
Someone posts might suggest some actions that could take place, but the discussion itself is not about suggesting anything.

Highly Unlikely, I mean I don't mean to just open a negative wave here but the main gameplay of Transformice consists of a 2 minute window to complete a map with objectives and shamans dependable at most levels, if you took out the time of all of that you'd realize that socializing basically is a part of the game and taking out the very un-neccessary reviews people give every single round in one thread isn't gonna change that all around. It's just modern ages..

Sticklo have you been reading anything at all I been writting ? I am suggesting people go out and spread the work and take action as far they are comfetable with it. Yes, it might not succed but it will definatly fail if we do not try.

If they're fighting over this damn language how about playing with people who don't swear? It may be hard, but at least you would get what you want.

If there is anything I've learned in life, it's that you can't change the world...you can only affect a few people at a time. If you want people to act nicer, you have to act nicer. Make them want to be you and you'll see that change...in your friends at least. The world's a horrible place and we can't change it all.

There's a ignore button, a filter button and if it gets too bad (Racist ect ect) There's also a report button, you can't change the way both Adults and Children act on not only Transformice, but The Internet is general. The Internet gives people the thought of being able to do anyway (Free will) mainly Kids. And that's where the "Bad language" Comes in they have no concern for other's feeling and throw insults around like it's paper, without thinking about it whatsoever. You really can't change it, but for example, look how bad our Community has gotten over the past 3 years, it's quite horrid to see how it's changed in a bad way. Ask most Mature people. And I'll think you'll find they hate the Kid-based Community not saying it's only Children. But I think it's mostly Children. I find their parents don't watch over what their children are doing/saying all over the weather it's FaceBook or Twitter or Transformice. Not that Facebook and twitter are apart of this "Bad language" thread. I was just using them as an example. If children knew their parents were watching everything they say/do they wouldn't say it right? I do know it's hard for parents to watch over their children 24/7 too. WELCOME TO THE INTERNET! How come there are communities out there which are much more friendly than us ? Is it the game who attracts more even headed people, is it the moderation, the rules or the attitude of those playing ? I do not belive it just children with bad langue I seen plenty of adults acting terrible on the internet.
If we as mentioned make ourself as an example and say it okay to say when people go to far we can make this place jsut a little more friendly. I know some people we cannot reach, then we ignore report. But sometimes it is enough just to voice your oppinion that we do not tolerate it.

But you also have to remember that voicing your opinion and setting people as an example will do small small change. I'm telling you your effort is amazing. you're willing to make but by the end of the day everything goes back into it's place, it's just how things go. As Johnlantern said you have to be the nice one, because you experience such a critical level of profanity does not mean you have to maintain in such an environment, there are groups and rooms of which friendly is the case.

I didn't say it was just children. And the amount of users TFM has it's bound to have "Bad language" I think the mods are doing great actually. And the rules are quite fine. I don't see how you can even think it's the staff nor the rules fault for people's actions on what they do/say in TFM.

Well really the rules are designed for everyone to follow and minor racism/spam still occur on TFM and dozens of reports on that regard are also ignored by sed staff, it is not the staff/rules fault, but it's their fault if they're not enforcing/restricting the rules. And if some staff do then good for them, but it is not a big impact on the community itself unless admins and or even moderators take more action, and there's not enough for this to take place either.

To be honest foul language was never accepted when I lived in my home but my parents would sometimes do it, and it would kind of provoke me. However I totally disagree on using bad language although I don't have the nicest one either. I usually say things like 'crap' or 'freaking' but those just are not the politest words -- I don't exactly consider them bad words.

Anywho, I think sometimes the cussing can get out of hand when it comes to using them as insults in game/on forums. But that's what reporting is for. Very often do people get away with insulting others with unkind words, from what I know.

If people are cussing but not to a direct person, I have no problem with that. If someone dislikes the fact of them using such language, then --

But sometimes people don't listen and just report anyway, which I find dumb because they're allowed to do it. Remember it was intended to be a 13+ game(but younger people still play it anyway which I see no problem with I guess).

LANGUAGE. I understand its a form of releasing your inner anger but come on there is laods of bad language and threats on this game. If a sham is'nt as good as another they are suddenly a noob and if a player cant complete the level then they get offended. Also can people have their arguments on whisper because it gets really annoying. Also the rascism and competativeness on this game is getting out of control!
