how are you exactly posting it then? are you doing the steps above in a correct way? is the image url valid for you? did you add a ',png' at the end of the image url? if you're using prntscr as a link, then it won't work since the link itself is a link to the image and not the IMAGE url.

you might need to check out imgur, and when you're done uploading your own picture, click on the button that says 'more' down below, and try to find the bbcode link, and it should look like this

and then copy and paste it, and the image should load fine

the correct bbcode to post images should look like this:
[img]http://i.imgur.com/kcFb2Z8.png[/img]
e: all you need to do is copy and paste the image url (which you can get by right clicking the image and selecting 'copy', and then press on ctrl + v to paste it, or right click again and select 'paste'), and make sure you do paste it between the [img][/img] brackets
ps check this thread, it has a really straight guide on how to post pictures
