I think a year ago animal jam removed a lot of den items from stores and people tried to pass them as legit items from the "beta" days.

Nope, the Computer is from the beta stage. But it made comebacks. Came back June 2013, left July 2014.
Many beta items made comebacks, but nonetheless they're still considered beta. But the most known one is this little guy:

This lil fella is indeed from the beta stage. But it's in stores and nearly worthless. Overall, it's seen as trash. Next time someone asks for betas and you offer this, hey, you're technically in the right.

The 'beta' kind people expect are items that never returned after the beta stage. That's highly uncommon.
If you want to know a "true" beta, look no further than the Tiki Mask. Never made a comeback. These are the kind of betas that have any sort of value, excluding player demand. Another true beta is the blue (and possibly orange) mat. I'm considering these specifically as true betas because they're not even obtainable in the Forgotten Desert.

But seriously though, even though AJ is making membership more interesting and make more players buy it, I HOPE THEY STILL WON'T FORGET ABOUT THE NON MEMBERS. It'll worsen the game e.e.... New players that can't buy membership would probably think that "Oh, this game is almost for all members! What am I supposed to do here?"

Meh, I used to feel that way when I have no other way to buying membership (cause cards aren't even sold here and my dad doesn't trust paypal) But now I have my own card, I just have to earn money for it :>
