yeah i will admit that the game is pretty overwhelming when you first start due to all the things you can do on it and you have all the careers and what not
as beta testers, we had to juggle through the careers and find the best order of careers for the villages.
for me, i recommend your villagers to be like this:
first - explorer
second - herbalist
third - doctor
fourth - construction worker

you get money by exploring, and you can also sell the stuff your explorer finds and the plants the herbalist grows for more furcash!!

to do your jobs, click on "villagers", and it'll bring you to a screen that has all your villagers. click on them, and then click on "career", you will then be able to do jobs!
