3. Velocidade do rato

I didn't like this about mouse speed, jumping was a good tatic to run faster on some maps, now yes that who has the best internet will win

Mouse speed

Another change is related to the mice speed. Before this update, the mouse speed wasn’t fixed and could be modified by some parameters (for example jumping could make your mouse faster).

This gave an unfair advantage to people with a powerful computer as they could sometime run faster than other mice. That’s why we’ve decided to fix it. I hope you will understand this was made to make the game fair to everyone.

As every really good player could tell you, the mouse movement speed is/was based on what ground you were on (=amount of friction involved) and what animation sprite you're using as the first frame of a run or when initiating a jump. It is not reliant on computer speed in any way, but just timing and quick fingers; you could reset your running animation to a better one on low friction grounds (ice or air) and thus run faster than other mice, and you could jump at a precise point during the animation cycle to get one of the faster jumps, again momentarily going faster than other mice (chaining those timed jumps together would gain you a considerable advantage). Anyone could do it with practice.

I've played tfm with a bunch of computers and I've always been able to use the running/jumping animations to gain that said "unfair" advantage regardless of the computer I've used and I've yet to see ANY proof during my years of playing that computer speed would have ANYTHING to do with mouse speed whatsoever. A faster computer simply does not make you run or jump faster, it is just an urban legend and a widely popular excuse mainly used by players who do not understand the mechanics.

Now I'd be ok with removing the different animation speeds if it wasn't for the fact that removing them will inadvertedly remove wallpushing, ice/air running, longjumping not to even mention that it breaks a huge portion of bootcamp maps. In the past three and a half years we've learned to cope and to play with the mechanics you've given us, and changing those mechanics means that all the countless hours the mapmakers and players have put into it are going down the drain.

Please review your data about how the mouse speed works in practice, for I can assure you, your conclusion about it is false.

And please reconsider if the change is actually needed and if the pros of it really outweight the cons.

http://prntscr.com/1ws6n5 vanilla map glitch, shows theres grounds when there isn't

Basically what's happened here is that the map maker has place one long ground without collision with mice and objects and a higher z value than grounds which appear under the cheese and hole that collide with mice and objects. They are effectively hidden behind this long ground. Since the ground is a sand ground, it's categorized as the purple color, not the cloud ground color although it may have similar properties.

Regarding Prr's statements, I agree; what you've removed is a skill, not an advantage to players with better computers. (I've gone through so many laptops, currently running a pretty strong one. I've personally felt that once you pass a certain threshold of computer quality, computer specs stop affecting gameplay for this game) If I could really nail down the unfairness to one thing, it's ping. Quite a few people feel pains from that (some from having a bad internet provider, but others simply because it takes so long to transfer data to the server). But hey, what can you do?
