I'm not saying pink alone makes someone a girl, it's more to do with the fact that it's pink makeup. I mean, I've never heard of a guy who wears lipstick and pink nail polish and isn't a transvestite, but if he does, then whatever floats his boat. For me, the fact that she has lipstick AND pink nail polish AND is in 'Ladies Night' does it for me. Some would say that Scott just added her for difficulty, but I think the fact he gave her a score of 20 as opposed to just 5 or 10 as he did with Foxy in 'Double Trouble', means that he intended her to be truly part of the theme, not just for increased difficulty.

As for why the Puppet isn't in FNAF 1 here's a Youtube comment I left somewhere (assuming the Puppet is the mastermind behind the hauntings):

Here's some random thoughts I had about why the Puppet isn't in FNAF 1 (I'm probably not the first to point out some of these)

1. The main four characters overthrew it somehow. I doubt the souls of the dead children were happy under the Puppet's orders. The fact that the Puppet 'pulls the strings' doesn't mean the animatronics don't have minds of their own.
2. Perhaps the souls are inseparable with the animatronics. When the old pizzeria closed after FNAF 2 and the new one reopened, all the animatronics were scrapped except Old Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. This may mean the child in the Puppet was forcefully 'moved on'.
3. A bit wacky, but what if the victim of the Bite of '87 was the person who murdered the child who became the Puppet? Granted, the victim didn't actually die, he/she just lost his/her frontal lobe and somehow survived. Perhaps the Puppet didn't realise that.
4. The point is, if all the Puppet wants is vengeance, then maybe it achieved that at some point between FNAF 2 and 1. Maybe it was Jeremy Fitzgerald or Fritz Smith.
5. I highly doubt I'm the first to point this out, but who's in the souls of the new animatronics? The Puppet stuffed at least four of the five children in the infamous murder case into the old animtronics. Who did it stuff into the new ones?

Feel free to poke holes. I've not been very up-to-date with theories since FNAF 2 came out.

I haven't watched Game Theories either, though I probably should.

And for kids, pink is a girl color. Its a simple way to tell the children its a girl

I'd seen the posters once before FNAF 2 came out. I never noticed the resemblance between it and Puppet until I watched a vid by Smike. @kayleekitti It's a rare image seen on CAM 4A. By rare, I mean as in you have spend a whole night bringing up and down the monitor for a chance that it'll pop up.

I personally think Mangle is genderless (as it is a robot, simply serving the mere purpose of amusing children).

That's a good idea because since you can break it apart and put it back together it could visually change gender by moving its features
