The internet is so amazing, it basically can release your alter ego. For me, I have many religous friends so I got into the habit of not using bad language. But on the internet I tend to drop the F- bomb a little more than I should. I'm also usually a good student, but , except for right now, I tend to loose all grammar when chatting. I've over time, with my noobiness,learned to understand bad shams and fellow noobs. I think TFM players need to remember that at one time they sucked at gaming, too. Trolling is very different from being a noob. Being a troll is a choice. And when you make that choice you must be aware of the consequences, you will be criticised. And also I don't approve of some of the nine year olds here. They need a little more time to understand ^ all of that. Anyway that's my view on this topic.

I read the original post and deduced I'm supposed to post my opinion of bad language in this game. Course I'm still recovering from surgery (dem pain meds :c) so I could be wrong.

The key thing to remember that this is the internet. With that said, with the younger kids it does technically fall on the parents to monitor their activity online until they are older (though I have been online gaming since I was 7 on Starcraft...but times have changed a great deal in the 16 years since then...yes I am old do the math). With that said, foul language I can deal with to a point. When it gets to the point of racism and very violent insults (like telling the person to go off themselves) is where I draw the line. Even when I am upset I never take my insults to the point of emotionally crapping someone over in life since we never know if the people can handle it or they take what goes on online very seriously.

But as the massive wall of rules dictate, they are not technically against the rules on this particular game (being mindful of taking it too far) so I just let it fly over my head (or amusingly think if the person using swear words left and right has a legit vocabulary. I think its more amusing poking someone with a more..creative approach).

Tried explaining this few pages ago. Nothing got into their heads.

The thing is, this falls under the "just becasue you can doesnt mean you should" type of category. Yes i agree i dont like being told what to say or not to say, but at the same time the agressive insults that are said by many members of the commuity does drive people away. No one likes being insulted repeatedly, and some people do step WAYYYY over the line from a few swears to...tantrums/hissyfits. And then its a Catch 22, if you try and get flaming to stop, and put yourself as the target by doing so, or ignore or room kick, it happens so darn much though that few seem to report it, and many hate using ignore (mostly becasue its not perm, or you then miss half of any conversation) We shouldnt feel like we HAVE to put up with it just becasue its the internet. That is just a lame excuse, which equates to "thats how life is, live with it" And being too scared to speak up doesnt help matters, many people wont for that reason alone. Im not saying we shouldnt swear at all, I am saying that the flamewars that are in almost every single room really does need to stop, I've seen way to many people quit, or get fed up with this game becasue of it. If they stopped playing becasue they grew tired of the game, that i can understand, but for many to stop playing becasue of player conduct, does indicate something needs to change. Im not sure what that something is, maybe some other tools that equal muting of any particular player permanently, by a player not a mod, would be a good place to start.
