This suggestion is probably one of the most rapid growing ones in terms of support when it comes down to such things. Huh.

While this a step up to the forums by adding a new function, I think that this was a risky move from A801, adding the like system. It should be left on to unofficial forums, as the purpose of this in official forums is rahter unneeded, and this may be possibly used for other bad purposes.

Thought I posted here but no idea where it went. Anyway -

I find this system useless, there's nothing interesting about it. We are simply going to see random dislikes from trolls scrolling through a thread on each post for no reason. I understand that this does not affect the title improvement/ranking, but then why is there a dislike button anyway? The only thing this system shows us is numbers under our posts and we won't know why each player voted yes or no especially that some of them might be random, and also helps us with getting different titles.

While I find the title ranking under our profile pictures nice, I think in my opinion it could be used in a better way. Instead of having them depending on the number of likes we've received/what players decide to vote, they could be used in another, better system -- for example depending on how many posts/threads we've posted in total on the forum (Excluding the Off-Topic Subforum posts as that's more of a chatting/games/for-fun subforum). That way, it would be better and would show our "contribution" to the Forum.

That being said, you have my SUPPORT.

This suggestion should stay because it means people can stop posting empty messages only containing "support" or "no support" without any further motivation or explanation. It's time to bring the discussions back into the discussion threads.

you do realise this can be more manipulative. at least adding your own thought into this is more appropiate and valid instead of looking through number that might be false or even fake.

Why not deactivate dislikes and make it so people can only like? If they want to dislike after they like, they can just remove their like from the list without having 2 sections for both likes and dislikes.
