am I supposed to be unable to heal or is there just a problem with my game?

even my method of [inventory full of food] is useless. ;-;

hmm, you cant get the true pacifist end if its your first time, so i'd recommend leveling up if thats your thing
also, pacifist or not, try to get items that increase defense

its probably a problem with the game if you're unable to heal, also, when your soul is red, you can try to escape
about four or three attempts later, you'll successfully run away and to hotland
also, if you cant fix the healing problem, move in a circular motion when the arrows land

you should run when your soul turns red again
run left, and if you're caught, just run again, go back, save, and start the fight again.
once undyne is hyperventilating, you can run upwards, and if she ever catches up, you can escape her from there.

if you dont kill anyone on your first run then you can load up the save after the neutral run to get a pacifist ending

ive heard of someone doing the backtracking thing like that, but ive never been fully able to do it
