It all started after watching my friends' sister play The Sims 1 Making Magic. She let me play it for a bit and I was hooked ever since. I then bought Sims 1 and all EPs that followed. I then loaned my family member the game and the EPs and she tried it out, gave it back to me and I played it at another family members' house. I must have hauled that game around between my friends', families', and cousins' houses so much that tons of computers had the Sims 1 installed lol.
Sadly one day I was going to play Sims 1 but my PC broke down and It couldn't be repaired. I then bought a new PC but I couldn't find any of the Sims 1 games except for Living Large, Makin' Magic, and Superstar. I was officially Simsless until the announcement of Sims 2. I quickly jumped at the chance of having Sims 2, and bought only a few EPs because my computers' hard-drive with completely filled. The main reason for this was because I dabbled in creating custom content and took a lot of screenshots as well as dabbled in music all of which filled my hard-drive completely. Saddened by this I had to skip a few EPs of Sims 2 and many years later Sims 3 was announced.
I was thrilled of Sims 3 coming out and I just had to have it. I saved up for another PC, and made my purchase of Sims 3 and all EPs that followed. I stopped making custom content but still dabbled in music. I played Sims 3 a lot during the years until the final expansion pack was announced "Into the future". The game started to lag a lot on me then and the loading time became unbearable. Several crashes later and loading screens later, I decided that my PC was incapable of handling the Sims 3. I made the gut-wrenching decision to either buy new PC or uninstall the Sims 3.
I made the choice to Uninstall the Sims 3. Still mourning over the hard decision I had to make for Sims 3, I thought my journey and franchise of playing the Sims has come to an official end. This next part of my story is where Sims 2 and 4 came into play.
Several years later, my PC had a massive hardware fail and failed to boot up. I tried everything to get it to work and nothing worked. I made another decision and bought a new PC. I installed Steam and Origin was about to play Plants vs Zombies when EA posted a tweet about getting the Sims 2 and all Stuff and Expansion Packs for free! I was shocked and jumped at the chance. I downloaded and installed The Sims 2 and the Custom Content Creator as manly tears of joy streamed down my face. I was back into the Sims franchise!
Sims 4 was announced shortly there-after and I bought it and all EPs that followed. Both Sims 2 and Sims 4 worked really well on my new PC and I play both to this day. One day I might re-install Sims 3 but after my hiccups with that game, I am hesitant to.
