most online games are like that, and when the game eventually introduces membership (most do), it will close in a few years. iv'e seen this happen on many games. and lots of good games gone down the pot due to having to buy "coins" for real money just for some rare items

I've played a bit of Toon Town, I find it a bit sad that disney is closing great games, to work on Club Penguin......

I thought it was cool they gave non-members stuff...

but my opinion is that most of the other virual worlds by disney are better...

but of course that's my opinion.

Well actually a reason for Toontown closing was King Lefty.

He reset a ton of the districts, costing them money.

He's the one who gave us the "Meet here." glitch, going anywhere you want.

And he always does the cry for help glitch / hack.
So yeah.

They don't have enough money anymore because of the district resetting and stuff.

That, and Toontown itself was just old. It wasn't making as much money as it used to back in its hay-day.

It's still a shame that this game closed. I wanted to get online yesterday, but there was apparently a server issue that locked most people out and it didn't get fixed in time..

Well all Disney wants is money.

Its sucks that those games are gone now, I mean those games were apart of my childhood and i mean why the heck is Club Penguin still on? If Pixie Hollow, Towntown, and whatever that last one was (Can't remember) Club penguin should get shut down too;(. Club penguin has been there since 2006! Its a old old OLD, GAME.

the whole point of the games closing was because they werent making enough money and to focus on clubpenguin

Still i kind of hate when they close games that were apart of your childhood >:(
