I've played tfm with a bunch of computers and I've always been able to use the running/jumping animations to gain that said "unfair" advantage regardless of the computer I've used and I've yet to see ANY proof during my years of playing that computer speed would have ANYTHING to do with mouse speed whatsoever. A faster computer simply does not make you run or jump faster, it is just an urban legend and a widely popular excuse mainly used by players who do not understand the mechanics.

Possibly your computer registers the keys much faster than a slower computer.
But then again i dont really see how it affects tbh...

My computer is slow (about 6 years old), and could do the jump boost without problems.

You had to practice to understand how it works. I do remember a thread on old forums about this "bug". Someone posted a way to practice so you could master this jump boost.

I spent many hours on this map @720339 untill i could understand how to do it properly, so its not about how fast is your computer. You had to understand how it works to get the right animation.

As Prr said i dont mind removing this jump boost, but they removed wp, lj, midle air jump by fixing this "bug".

Sympa votre truc pour les ordinateurs plus lents. Mais le saut étais en aucun cas selon moi lié au PC ! J'y arrivais sur tout les ordinateurs sur lequels j'ai joué et même sur des Pc qui laggaient. On va venir a un jeu Noskill a ce rythme. De nombreuses autres techniques ne marchent plus a cause de ça ! Certaines maps ne sont plus faisaible des maps ou pour passer une obstacle il fallais par exemple courrir sur de la glace mais notre vitesse ayant été baissée cela n'est plus possible ... Ou meme les LJ ( long jump ) qui étais une technique très utile en bootcamp ne fonctionne plus. C'est incomprehensible. Dans ce cas la il faudrais aussi prendre en compte la connexion qui différe parfois énormement entre deux joueurs ... Bref j'espère que cela reviendra a la normal le plus vite possible !

You would have to have some huge framerate problems in order to not be able to execute the jumps in time, it requires more of knowledge than precision. There was a time when my game was constantly running at ~15 frames per second (that's really choppy) due to some buggy flash update and I still had no trouble jump boosting, while it did made me struggle with walljumping fast.
