besides fish not really most memorable fish that died was bananas, a long yellow algae eater, and his best friend, king or something like that, the spotted catfish. and of course the one and only cyclops who was one of those cool fish that had the exoskeleton things and had one eye. he lived a pretty good 1-2 years rip :( ive had many humans i care about die, but never truly a close pet that lived for more than 3 years my dogs are still living but one of them could be lost to back damage, he's doing ok rn i'm just worried about him anyways, ive had close friends loose their pets to death and honestly even as someone who hasn't truly lost a pet it affected me in 2015 or early 2016, one of my closest friends irl's dog died. her name was katy and she was super sweet, she couldn't get along with other dogs but every time i came over to their house, katy would pounce on top of me and lick my face. at 14 or 13 years old she died, i felt really bad and i still feel bad and often miss her presence when i come over. they have a new dog now named phoebe tho who's a sweet heart and has this tail tHAT CONSTANTLY HITS YOU REALLY HARD. then she jumps on you, and phoebes licking your whole face and begging to be pet. second one was the reason i got dogs really. the dogs name was tina (which is ironic because there's someone named tina in this very forum) and she was a doberman. in kindergarten and preschool, her owner and her stopped outside our house and begged to be pet. she then would lick me and walk along, it really felt special to me. one day around 1st grade, she passed away due to some disease in her legs. she couldn't walk anymore. yet, she tried and tried to get to my house. it got to the point she could only walk on grass and they had to put her down. all i gotta say anymore is that deaths of pets can affect others to and everyone will experience death once in their lives. remember them and be happy cause they would want you to be happy too. you'll never get fully over it, trust me, i still to this day can't get over my grandpas' deaths. it's hard but everything will be okay. there are plenty of people in this world who care about you! death is a part of life, and it's pretty grim, but you gotta accept it. with every death, there is a life. be thankful for that. |

I think i barely fed my last one because i keep forgetting. i'm going to guess thats the cause of death instead of the water quality. |

In the past I wasn't born in 1977. My mother had a cat female named I don't know...then her cat passed way in 1989. Secondly, my goldfish. I brought the goldfish in 2009 because my grandmother doesn't love to care dogs, cats or hamster. Later at the 2010 my goldfish passed because I didn't fed it. (omg i am true parent.) |

I've only owned a few pets in my life, but the only ones that died while I was still the owner were my pet fish. Hey, I was fucking 4 years old and I wasn't properly taking care of them. my bad. I've had a cat too, but she was destroying everything so we had to give her to someone else. She turned out to be sick and died a few months later while that lady was taking care of her. thats pretty much it |

my family had this one cat named sy. she was old for a cat, she was 16 years old and her body was slowly giving up on her. she would hang out in my sister's room and got my sister really sick due to her urinating everywhere in her room. that type of stuff isn't healthy to breathe in, and since my sister hangs out in her room the most, and that's where the smell was, she was the most sick out of all of us. my mom had the vet put the cat down, and soon afterwards my sister was no longer sick. a few months ago, my mom told me that even if we let her live, she probably had a few more days before she took her last breath on my sister's bed, so it's not like we put down an animal that still had months or even years to live. |

Munchkin the Hamster, he died of old age. That was the only pet I ever had tbh, besides that cat my parents had when I was really young, but they gave the cat to my grandma after they found out I'm allergic to cats. But the cat did die of old age around the time I was in elementary school. |
