I've been playing this game for about 3 years now. The only people who get offended by bad language are the little kids who play the game. Its incredibly annoying and they wont even ignore you when you asked them to then they get you banned for it. I think its ridiculous but know one seems to care. If it was a 2 years ago no one would care about it but now seems theres 9 and 10 year olds playing this there so sensitive. Kids are ruining this game slowly but surely

I agree with you Bantig. I always come across a room and full with idiotic and childish kids complaining and banning people. Surely enough many of them lie of their age on here but you can tell how old they are by how they type or basically how they respond. I find it annoying when you're friends with someone that has a friend that is of young age and whenever you leave the room that friend follows them and they follow you and it's complete annoying.

I really dont think its fair and then the mods come in and dont even take in account whats happened before they came in. Then they just ban you because some little kid was offended instead of just ignoring them. This game needs an age limit or something. i hate this

This is something everyone has opinions on. Personally I don't care what someone has to say to me, they can call me every name in the book and it amuses me more than anything else. However such language- excessive swearing, the n-word and f-word and other racist/homophobic things are against the rules and they are not tolerated at all, it isn't like a subtle thing either if you're seen using those words you're going to be muted or banned. You deserve to get in trouble for ignore the rules.

Depending on the crowd of people you're playign with depends on the reaction you will recieve if you swear at someone or just swear in general. Not all rooms will call for a moderator to deal with you, but they are entirely in their right to do so.

Whatever argument you're having isn't important either. You don't have to respond to people, you don't have to stay calling each other gay or ugly etc. If you're the type who really can't let an argument go and has to respond there are ways to do so without that kind of language. You'd be surprised how quickly people get quiet when you tell someone raging at you that you love them.

If you want to ignore the whole room, you can try whispering yourself and leaving that tab open

Because its the internet its rather impossible to know age or anything else, but I'm sure that the worst offenders arent all children nor are they all adults, this has more to do with people not caring who they hurt and dont care that they are behaving like jackasses. Swearing is one thing, I'm fine with that, I would hate to have language censored to the extreme, BUT...its the EXCESSIVE stuff that bothers me, tirades of insults for many rounds (maps) straight, again and again and again...often its -phobic/racist things too. And no tolerance for new players whatsoever. Yes i know when youve been playing awhile and a new player who cant build at all fails it can be annoying, BUT we were all there once, and we NEED people to stay, not leave. The bottom line is the behavior of certain players is driving people away, both long time players and new players alike. In many rooms the ONLY people that talk are the abusive ones, the rest just stay mute so they dont have to get involved. While I understand why, thats sad, that people feel their only course of action is to stay mute or ignore a big chunk of the room. Essentially the majority are being punished for the crimes of the minority, and nomatter how you try to swing that, its just not right.

I thought i should point out a secondary point concerning this. Over time, i go in cycles of how active i am in playing this game. But its not so much the game itself, its the community. I got into a closed Beta on a different game, and at that time quit playing Transformice except for holiday events. That game has since been shut down. And so not surprisingly i became a lot more acitve here again. Heres whats relevant, the players of that game of course are searching for new things to play, and generally speaking were not interested in hack and slash or RPG's. But we do like a challenge, and puzzles and MMO's. Many had interest in this game, its a challenge its, racing, its physics, but i cant get anyone to stay OR to return for that matter.(there were 15,000+ active players BTW, i asked about 100 people and thats not counting forum annoucements) Ive been told, the community is atrocious, its all trolls, its full of relentless jerks...etc. The community here has a reputation for being horrible, and its proven when people visit, the community is often assholes and this scares people off, so regardless of whether they like the game or not, the jerks make it so they wont stay. This IS a problem, and it needs to be adressed somehow

Its not just children nor is it all adults that are being jerks, its both, (the game was designed for 15+, so the main target audience for most games) The thing is the more it goes on, and nothing is done about it, the more common it becomes. A sort of apathy developes, when things are accepted (even if its not liked) and when theres not a large enough of a deterrent/punishment, for it. When people dont care about having thier account suspended for a little while becasue they are jerks, is where the problem lies.

Always makes me laugh when people say it's a kids game. Considering most 12+ year olds play Call of Duty and whatnot now and are constantly cursing themselves and listening to their damn rap music which has more curses in a few songs than I've ever said in this game combined.

I said it much earlier in the thread, its not swearing perse thats the issue. (and yes ALL games regardless of ratings have kids in them)Its when it gets out of control, and people go on tirades...for MANY maps on end. I dont want language to be censored, but in many rooms its not a OH F*ck! or whatever when they mess up instead it goes on and on and on....or screaming/arguing back and forth, for no reason, being obnoxious just to piss others off etc...it doesnt have to be swearing. My main point is its unwelcoming to people, it alienates people, and for those that do stay, they often stay mute to avoid conflict, or becasue its common/accepted behavior, become one of the abusive ones themselves, and so the cycle perpetuates it self.

No matter where you are, there is bound to be someone who will cuss (even i do :3)

Let me explain what I always say,
"Bad words" is only bad to your fucking opinion, if saying the word "war" is so fucking bad to me i won't say it, and as you notice the so called "cuss" or "bad" words are okay with me, yes some times i do over use them but you do have to understand-i don't mean to do it i just do it on "impulse" why? well for one i have some what of a hidden depresson, that i really do not fucking like to talk about, secondly its one of those things as you grow up every one around you say every sentance with say the word, bitch, or fuck-you don't consider them bad you think of them as any other word such as they or no. How ever as you grow up you do notice that these words aren't so the norm, and sadly since you're so very fucking used to it you can't really help it-none the less it shows your personality. Many people hate me just because i say "bad words" a lot when I don't care? I truely do not. How ever I do hate it when people are racist, and i normally do find some thing such as a pencil to break into pieces-because that's just fucked up no matter how you live no matter how you're raised. I how ever do not care if you have that opinion nor do I care i have my own(since people really cannot fucking care i just try and stay neutral though when i choose a side i stick with it until some thing very heavy in evidence changes such.)
Also I'd like to say I thought this was a kid game at first sight how ever when i actually played for real (i used to just stalk people long ago) i found out its more of a mature/teenage game, such as 13-17, how ever this depends on community and room. (some rooms have all the kids less then say 11 then you have the rooms filled with fucked up indivedules in their 20s.)
Bad is always a matter of opinion, although some things are universally horrible such as racism (im safe to say a good 95% is against it, yes i have met very very racist people...) though, say africa no one cares if you're naked i mean nearly every one there is showing some part of their body, and those whom aren't are very lucky or are not native there-that being said talking about the body parts isn't "Taboo" such as it is here if you say the word "boob".
