Well actually a reason for Toontown closing was King Lefty.

He reset a ton of the districts, costing them money.

He's the one who gave us the "Meet here." glitch, going anywhere you want.

And he always does the cry for help glitch / hack.
So yeah.

They don't have enough money anymore because of the district resetting and stuff.

On the last day, On Pixie Hollow there were a group of 3 fairies with a purple dress. They were saying: SAVE THE HOLLOW! CLOSE CLUB PENGUIN INSTEAD! Wait, it isnt Club Penguin's fault.

It never was Club Penguin's fault. Plus, CP is one of Disney's highest games.
The reason these games closed down was because of the new game, Disney Infinity. I read this in a magazine in a game store, but I have a feeling that's the most accurate reason.
