if you're going to punish rapidclan for raiding threads, don't be a stereotype and punish every single living soul who posts on rapidclan or is in rapidclan

I don't normally 'raid' another thread unless they've done something first or pissed me off. :)

When I say RapidClan I mean the people who post in it. And they won't punish a whole tribe for only a few people.
When I was sentinel, raiding a thread could earn you warnings or even a ban for a short time. It hasn't been a problem until recently.

I ws referring to the people who post there who also do the raids. Sorry, in the future I'll try to be a bit more picky with my words since you're analyzing every one.

Again, report them as it is hard to keep track of every single thread. If they don't leave afte rthe first 'leave this thread' then they will likely be reprimanded.

Also I think you guys are mixing up Haru and Imma, as Imma seemed like the one treating clans more as a whole and Haru mainly talking about people who raid.

And I also agree completely with Haru that you shouldn't raid regardless.

Your right, when im searching/browsing for a tribe, all the pages are mostly CLANS CLANS, and there are many posts on the thread and its spammo.

Edit: Just looked at the first page, and yes all of the threads are mostly clan threads

Who raided who?

To be perfectly honest, I remember a select few from CB/Pen Pals/PaoClan posting on alts with insulting pictures and labelling the people in the pictures as some of us. Then more explicit things such as a vagina covered in blood were posted. Isn't this raiding? I think both sides are in the wrong and either way, this isn't going to end up with a balanced conclusion for a long time.

I largely stopped posting in this subforum because of the useless spam going on. It has long seemed to me like a contest..either a race for the highest post count or just to prove that one group can spam better and in a less meaningful way than the other. And sure, I tried to understand it, tried joining in, but in the end it just left me incredibly bored and a bit bitter over the fact that people felt the need to behave like this.

Unfortunately this also caused friction within Crossing Borders in the past, with some people taking issue to the spam and others finding it the most enjoyable thing about the entire game. And some people somewhere in between those two extremes. These issues have since been resolved in the sense that most people enjoying this form of communication have formed a tribe of their own, but the negative connotation between CB and spammers clearly persists.

Although I've never pushed for it as I perfectly well understand that other tribe members may feel differently, I would've enjoyed forum moderation on at least CB's tribe thread.

it's all "spam" subjectively.

That pretty much implies the tribe section is actually meant to be the spam section (to which I disagree). The vast majority of these discussions have nothing to do with the tribes these threads are actually for.

Sure, you can talk about whatever you want, but this behaviour has proven to be very discouraging for anyone genuinely interested in the tribe to speak up. In fact, new players have been either met with hostility or with various users (tribe and nontribe members alike) pulling pranks on them.

Weren't the forums supposed to be a welcoming place? Why has this been emphasised pretty much everywhere on the forums except for the tribe threads?
