Love the people before you love the country

What makes somebody a patriot? Is it gathering around for the Super Bowl with friends and family? Is it waving an american flag around because you love this country? No...it’s more than that! Being a patriot is about supporting one’s country but how can anyone support this country if all these so called patriots do is care about themselves?

You love this country, I get it! I love this country too. So, how does anyone think they are patriotic if it’s just all “me me me”. To love one’s country, you have to love the people in that country. You can’t just say “I love this country” when you talk shit about people who has different beliefs or skin color.

Our founding fathers didn’t find this country just so you can be an arse around everyone you don’t believe fit your criterias as a human being. Not everyone is like you. They all don’t have to share a common interest just for you not to be an dipshoot to them. They are part of this country just like you and me.

Now, what is my point? You can’t love this country or claim you are a patriotic if you don’t love the people who live in it. You can’t assume things about people that you haven’t interact with. I’m not saying everyone is not a patriot, i’m just try make a point that you should love the people around you who make up this wonderful country.

Just be nice to the people around you. Give a hand and help the needy. Just don’t be salty to people just because they are different. We are all human.
