I won't bet, but I will say I hope that they are. While I thought the shaman skill update was a very cool update that providing some new unique experiences, as an old player, the fact that half of the shaman skill tree is a collection of old hacking styles just makes me laugh everytime. All the skills that literally turn the shaman into a pre-skills update hacker makes me wonder when Tig would be creating anti-hack patches, if he was actually just retrieving the information in the hacks themselves to use later on. Maybe it's just me being oldschool, but honestly while I like skills like revive, size amplification of both shaman and cheese, the free revive for the shaman, and so on, skills like teleporting both yourself and mice, being able to give mice cheese AND send them to the hole, being able to fly, etc, is just honestly detrimental to new players (don't even get me started on how much I hate that there's no saves number to reach to start leveling up). Yes, the game is about fun, but with this update, a large majority of skill for the non-shaman is essentially gone. You straight up don't have to know how to do anything except run left or right now. Can't get the cheese? Shaman can give it to you! Can't reach the hole? Shaman can bring it to you!

I know others feel differently and I'm not here to sway others towards my opinion, but I personally wish that the skill trees could be re-examined and balanced more accordingly.

That's a fairer take. At least you acknowedge that other skill trees give as much power.

@ Seeteegee and Iluhchez: I guess that's something we agree on. Especially the wind master seems overpowered - he can go to pretty much any spot on the map, and teleport out of cages. Particularly the teleport is problematic, as it breaks many maps.

The wings should not allow the shaman to go upwards - just glide, locking the jump. The projection skill could give him a short speed boost (for longer jumps etc), but shouldn't allow him to go through walls.

I was actually thinking the same when I first saw the skills.

What I do feel bad for are mech maps. Shamans will absolutely destroy them now unless they're so simple it's impossible to.

It is most likely still in Beta Testing, and now they are recieving Public Responses, we will see what updates hold for our future.
Wind Master-
Maximizing Projection already allows you to bypass large obstacles and mainly cages, and look we also have a teleport skill for the Shaman too!
Well if Shaman is below point A and needs to get above to point B they can teleport surely yes?
Why not fly instead!
Now Projection cannot clear overhanging obstacles but teleporting solves that to cover every angle.
Spiritual Guide-
The apples are nice but really only useful if you know how to Shaman properly, which judging by a lot of people in Vanilla, do not know how.
The clouds suffer the same too and people just take advantage of it by just spamming it as a primary solution to every map which eventually instigated a Nerf just to show we cannot have nice things.
The Cheese and Hole is covered too by the other post above this.
Mechanician-
Seems useful does it not?
Well it is just too bad because they are insanely crude for trolling.
Do you want to keep jumping on chocolate builds with cheese just because a Shaman can?
Hate it when it is hard to wall jump with cheese on ice?
Why do we even need heavy cannons besides killing mice?
We can simply use anvils to provide density oh but it would be a shame if... we... drop this on you.
Oh but we have ball multipliers though.
Why do we even need tons of balls if we need no ballpit?
Of course for lag!
Remember those bomb maps in Vanilla?
They are annoying huh?
But now with this cleverly disguised bomb you will not only fear bombs but sheeps too!
So yes, everything is problematic and yet dependent on how we use them...
The choice is in your hands, the people who complained about the Clouds being overpowered is a clear demonstration, other skill users, you have been warned.

Well, the winged shaman is the new covergirl of Transformice. Guess we know how Tig feels about a nerf to the Wings "skill".

But anyway, there is still no proof that clouds are more broken than wings. This is why I'm upset about the nerf to clouds ONLY.

We do not know exactly everything they are willing to disclose publicly knowing what the backlash can be.
So before you get off your couch I suggest you take a breather for a week or so and see what happens in the meantime.

Got a nice-sounding suggestion on this thread: Topic-331142

If the clouds were smaller than they are now, say the size of the cheese, it would be harder to spam them on the map. This would still allow clouds to be used to stabilize builds, but cloudspamming would be lessened. Might be enough to get rid of the cloud limit that really made this "top-tier" skill look more like tier 3.

Regardless of what size they are, people will go any lengths to exploit things (See even the mini-me planks are limited which makes you wonder why).
This is how we ruin good suggestions.
My suggestion is to run with that idea and limit it to five for reasons stated.

I would really hate the wings nerf
I know they are somehow op, but they are the last skills in a tree!
Aren`t them supposed to be more important than anything else there?
